First sign was internet protection turned off, cannot restart. I had this before so I ran MCcleaner and reinstalled. Then I noticed

memory maxed out as well as internet protection stayed off. I uninstalled until a fix could be done.

Uninstalled and am now testing Emisosft Anti-Malware.  Sorry, Malwarebytes, but this is the last straw.  Thank God I only had it installed on my home PCs.

Malwarebytes was just using 29GB of my 32 GB of RAM memory.

Windows kicked my Guild Wars 2 game out of RAM apparently to give Malwarebytes more space (bad choice there)

Please fix. I do not plan on buying even more ram.

It's a memory leak but I've been having my computer crash for a long time. I thought about a memory leak but I use browser most of the time and knew it probably wasn't that. Never thought about Malwarebytes. Actually, this is a serious issue. They know it.

If you've stopped the service and it's still restarting :

In "Malwarebytes Service Properties"  select "Recovery" change 1st, 2nd & Subsequent failures to "Take No Action"

Same here on W7 - This is a show stopper.

Only option was to reboot in safe mode and disable or uninstall MB.

Same issue for me.  It locked up my computer a few times.  Brought my computer up in safe mode with networking, went into services and disabled MBAMService until this bloody mess is sorted out.

Uninstall the damn thing and carry on. Reinstall when it's fixed.

For all those slamming MBAM, My company, my family and my home all use this product and have for years.  In all the years I have been using it, I rarely have any problems.  The amount of time and money this has saved our company and my kids PCs far outweighs having an issue every few years.  Most issues have been very minor (false positive, etc.).

If they are aware of it and working on a fix, I'll stand by.

I killed the service through windows and set it to disabled until I see a resolution.

Had this hit me also.  Thought it was Kerbal Space Program doing it, but I was just sitting at the Space Center view which usually doesn't affect CPU or RAM that much.  Holy heck, 30GB used...?  Killed it in task manager (which made CPU usage jump to 100%), it restarted itself.  Real Time Protection disabled...?  That's odd.  Rebooted.  Still acted up, gobbling up RAM.  Finally uninstalled it.  A pity, MWB has been my go-to solution for real-time protection.

Once they get it fixed, I'll reinstall it.  Now to remove it from my other machines for the (hopefully) short term.

I have the same problem.  Currently it's using 9 GB of RAM and has been over 11 GB of Ram.  Real-Time Protection keeps turning off.  I was trying to record a YouTube video and this ruined it due to all the stuttering.

If you say so. If you practice "safe surfing," you can avoid a lot. Even if it takes them 2 days for a fix, what are you doing that you're so exposed to malware?
