  1. I backed off to version mb4-setup-consumer- for a while as advised in another thread and last week I tried the latest version again, and with version mb4-setup-consumer- the problem is solved for me.
  2. Thank you. I understand you require logs for a full investigation, but for now I only like to know if this is a known issue.
  3. My Malwarebytes Premium (latest version, see screenshot) on Windows 7 Professional x64 with web protection enabled is slowing down and failing network connections. Without going into a full investigation and providing full logs: Is this a known issue being worked on or am I the only one? Some details: The Windows 7 Pro machine is running an Apache web server and a network proxy service. I noticed slow and failed connections over time. When I disable Malwarebytes web protection the issue seems to be gone. It may be an issue with network connection speed degrading over time.

  5. Thank you. For privacy reasons, I opt to not provide logs for now. I just like to know if this is a known issue, and according to what I read of -JR-, it probably is.
  6. Malwarebytes 4.0.4 is enabled and protecting my system. The setting to register Malwarebytes as anti-virus program with Windows security center has been enabled. But Windows security center warns me that virus- and spyware protection is disabled. When I disable and re-enable the "Always register Malwarebytes with Windows security center" option, the warning goes away, only to return after the next reboot. I've got this issue on all of my 4 Windows 7 x64 computers. Is this a known issue with the new Malwarebytes 4? I did not have it with v3.

Which is a pity because MBAM used to be THE go-to solution to remove malware from your PC. Back in the says, MBAM had the name to be the "most recommended malware remover by OTHER AV-companies" because users who contacted the helpdesk of other AV-companies with infected systems, more than often got the advice to download and run MBAM to clean up their systems. But it seems that Malwarebytes is doing less than optimal as overall virus detection and prevention tool
  11. I got the same message on my Windows Desktop. Malwarebytes Premium Lifetime. How do I stop this? Because I learned not to click on ads I killed it with task manager. But I'm not sure if it will come back or show up at my other computers. (Who also have licensed versions of Malwarebytes)

  13. Is there some CPU usage leak here? At my home server (Windows 7 x64) Malwarebytes tends to take up to 50% of my CPU when I chek back to my server after a week or so. I can resolve it by quitting Malwarebytes and reloading it, but in the end, the issue comes back over time. (Multiple days of uptime)
  14. Okay. I consider this a strange policy, but I have my answer. Thanks. In the past I was able to edit it myself with no problems, and I had even fewer posts.
  15. I am logged in. When I click my user name ==> account settings ==> edit profile, I get the error message: "You are not allowed to edit this profile" When I cannot even edit my own profile, who can? Is there a way I can fix this?
  16. I fully agree that this should have been tested better. But still, mistakes are and will be made by humans. And with updated software + Norton security you are well-defended against malware already. So, you can safely uninstall Malwarebytes. Of course, the best defense is a a cautious user and no anti-malware software will defend you enough against reckless (online) behavior.
  17. You're always running into risks. Uninstall Malwarebytes and run the increased risk of security issues where Malwarebytes would protect you against. Switch to a different AV vendor, only to sooner or later discover that they also have their bugs and problems. Most A/V vendors sooner or later run into an issue with performance, BSOD's or false positives on critical system/application files.
  18. Malwarebytes was just using 29GB of my 32 GB of RAM memory. Malwarebytes Component version 1.0.262 Update package 1.0.3798 Windows kicked my Guild Wars 2 game out of RAM apparently to give Malwarebytes more space (bad choice there) Please fix. I do not plan on buying even more ram.
  19. Yes, how do you get from members group to one with ability to edit profile picture? I own four lifetime malwarebytes licences if that makes any difference.
