Hi @EvilPeppard,

We've just released a new beta update that has fixes for various Web Protection-related issues.
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/257042-malwarebytes-41-beta/?do=findComment&comment=1371934

1.0.875 is the component package version for this release, so it looks like you're already up-to-date. We'd love to know how you get on with Web Protection in this latest release.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I have re-enabled Web Protection on 1.0.875 and will monitor performance. I will report back either way.

Thanks again!

@LiquidTension

Well, bad news. BSOD just two hours after re-enabling Web Protection with 1.0.875.

WhoCrashed info:

On Thu 4/9/2020 6:04:13 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
uptime: 07:48:51
This was probably caused by the following module: mwac.sys (mwac+0x12D3F)
Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF8030C5BEF47, 0xFFFF8B006A07E310, 0x0)
Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mwac.sys
product: Malwarebytes Web Protection
company: Malwarebytes
description: Malwarebytes Web Protection
Bug check description: This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: mwac.sys (Malwarebytes Web Protection, Malwarebytes).

@EvilPeppard - thank you again for your continued offer to help. Can you please run our MBST tool again on the affected machine, and attach the archive created?

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Thanks!

Thanks again. For now that is all we need. Please stay safe out there.

Curious, can you guys tell from all the logs and crash reports I've been sending what has been causing my BSOD with Web Protection on? Is there a conflict with something on my computer?

Thanks for any info.
