  4. exile360's post in Reinstalled MB from disk- cannot get updates was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
Yes, downloading the latest free/trial version is exactly what you need to do, then you should be able to activate it with your lifetime license key to convert it into Premium.  Instructions on how to do so may be found in this support article.
I would also highly recommend signing up for an account at My.Malwarebytes.com as detailed in this support article.
Once you've signed up you will probably need to add your license key to your account manually as described in this support article since you purchased a boxed/retail copy of the software rather than purchasing it online.
You'll find the download for the latest version of Malwarebytes here if needed.
Once everything is set up you will be able to log into your account at My.Malwarebytes.com to manage your licenses and keys which will make reinstalling or moving your license key to a different device much easier.
Please let us know how things go and if you run into any issues.
    Thanks
  5. exile360's post in MB Privacy blocks Etsy site? was marked as the answer
I just found a discussion on Reddit about it too, indicating that both Google and Etsy are known to have issues with VPNs, so it seems that likely is the root of the issue, unfortunately.
@Dev1 if they have a policy against VPNs they aren't likely to do anything about it, however you could try contacting Etsy support to see.  Maybe they aren't doing it deliberately and can apply a fix/workaround (assuming it's something like a DDoS protection mechanism and not that they are blocking VPNs deliberately).
  6. exile360's post in How to add custom filters to Mb Browser Guard was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
Unfortunately, no, there is currently no option to add any custom filters or block lists to Malwarebytes Browser Guard, however I will pass on a recommendation to add this capability to the Product team for consideration.  In the meantime, it is possible to use a more ad/tracker focused blocking extension alongside Malwarebytes Browser Guard such as uBlock Origin, Adblock Plus, or AdGuard.
If there is anything else we might be of assistance with please let us know.
    Thanks

  8. exile360's post in Alerts and RMM Integration was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
According to the information in this support article, Nebula provides email notifications for the following event types:
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that notifications for real-time protection detection events are provided, however I will submit a request to the Product team to consider adding it in the future.
With regards to Datto, this support article indicates that you can at least integrate deployment using the provided MSI installer.  I could not locate any further information on integrating it, however you may contact Malwarebytes Business Support via the form located on this page and they will be able to give you a definitive answer, assuming no one more knowledgeable than myself responds here in the meantime.
I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.
    Thanks
  9. exile360's post in BSoD with Privacy was marked as the answer
Good, now that you have both uninstalled, restart the system one more time if you haven't already, then install the beta build nikhils linked to above which can be found here: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mbprivacy-offline-beta-2.0
Please let us know if it resolves the issue or not.
    Thanks
  10. exile360's post in Malwarebytes Privacy - Unable to connect was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
Has your system crashed recently?  I see a couple of recent memory dumps in your logs.
Please try uninstalling Malwarebytes Privacy, restarting the system, then reinstalling Malwarebytes Privacy to see if that fixes the problem.
You might also try removing AVG to see if it is the cause of the issue as one or more of its components may be conflicting with or blocking Malwarebytes Privacy.  AVG's official removal tool is located here.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Thanks
  11. exile360's post in Some question was marked as the answer
Ah, I see.  That could actually be due to a conflict between AdGuard's WFP driver and the Web Protection in Malwarebytes Premium.  It is possible to continue using AdGuard with its WFP filter disabled so that you don't lose performance but still benefit from the blocking in both programs.  If you wish to do so, instructions can be found in this AdGuard support article.
  12. exile360's post in Permmissions Problem with MalwareBytes was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
The self-protection module is what's preventing you from terminating the service that way.  First, since you want to use Malwarebytes in free mode, open Malwarebytes and deactivate the premium trial as described in this support article.
Next, go to the Security tab and and toggle the option under Windows startup to the off position so that Malwarebytes doesn't launch automatically when your computer boots.
Finally, whenever you run Malwarebytes manually to perform a scan, once it completes right-click on the Malwarebytes tray icon and select Quit Malwarebytes and select Yes if prompted by User Account Control so that all of Malwarebytes' processes and drivers will be removed from memory.
I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we can assist you with please let us know.
    Thanks
  13. exile360's post in MBEP on Server 2012R2 causing crash/reboot every ~25min since latest update was marked as the answer
OK, if they have BitDefender then it is very likely to be a conflict between BitDefender's web filtering component and Malwarebytes' Web Protection, and yes, there should be WFP entries related to MWAC but the logs show none.  This could be due to BitDefender as it may have blocked them from being created or from an issue with Malwarebytes the last time it was installed/updated.
  14. exile360's post in BSOD in mwac.sys together with tcpip.sys was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
You're running an older version of Malwarebytes.  Please install the latest version from here then restart your system to see if the BSOD issue is fixed.  If it persists it may be due to the presence of Adguard since Adguard, like Malwarebytes, uses a WFP filter driver for blocking websites and servers.  This means you may need to disable Adguard's WFP filter or Malwarebytes' Web Protection component to prevent the conflicts from occurring.  Additional details about the issue can be found in this support article.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Thanks
  15. exile360's post in I think I have something ? Windows defender is off. was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
To have Windows Defender active alongside Malwarebytes you need to disable the option for Malwarebytes to register in Security Center.  To do so, open Malwarebytes and go to settings by clicking the small gear icon in the upper right, then select the Security tab and toggle the option Always register Malwarebytes in the Windows Security Center to Off and Windows Defender should re-enable itself.
  16. exile360's post in Install on Router was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
Unfortunately Malwarebytes has no software that runs on routers at the moment.  I assume it would require some sort of Linux based client if it is a router that supports the installation of third party software (most don't, though some do have custom firmware available which allows further options).  Malwarebytes has a VPN called Malwarebytes Privacy, however it won't run on a router either.

  19. exile360's post in Seems latest malwarebytes is freezing my computer - Windows 10 Home 2004 was marked as the answer
You're very welcome, I'm glad you were able to isolate the issue.  I have made a note of your experience for the Product and Support teams.  I will request that they investigate and determine if ExpressVPN should be added to the list of incompatible applications listed in this support article.
It seems we have compatibility issues with a handful of third party applications which use the same WFP APIs in Windows that Malwarebytes uses for its Web Protection module.  Once reported, they can request that testing and verification be done so that they may determine if it might be something which can be fixed in Malwarebytes' code, or if it must be addressed by the developers of ExpressVPN (unfortunately, this seems to be the case for most of the applications with such conflicts).

Instructions on resetting your HOSTS file can be found in this Microsoft support article.

  22. exile360's post in [ RESOLVED ] Lifetime License Transfer was marked as the answer
Some additional information that you may find useful.  You can sign up at My.Malwarebytes.com for an account using if possible the same email address you used when you originally purchased your license and you should then be able to deactivate your license as detailed above in the link provided by Firefox.  Details on signing up can be found in this support article, and if you need to manually add your license key to your account (if for example you had to use a different email address when signing up due to the original email address you used when you purchased your license no longer being active) you will find information on how to do so in this support article.
Once you have your license key registered at My.Malwarebytes.com you can sign in there at any time to view the license status, see which device it is active/installed on as well as deactivate the license to move it to a new device.
If you still have trouble getting the license deactivated from your old system and the methods provided above do not work for getting your license reactivated on your new device then please contact Malwarebytes Support directly by filling out the form on the bottom of this page and they will assist you in getting your license reset for you.
I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.
    Thanks
  23. exile360's post in [ RESOLVED ] How many PCs can I install and run my malwarebytes on? was marked as the answer
    Greetings,
You purchased 2 licenses for 2 years.  This means that you may have the software installed on up to 2 devices at a time.  The '0 of 2' available devices means that both of your installs are already in use.  You can move your license from one of your devices to a new device at any time by deactivating one of them, either in the 'My Account' tab in Malwarebytes on one of your current devices and then installing and activating it on a new device or by using the deactivate function at My.Malwarebytes.com to deactivate it from one of your existing devices so that you can install and activate it on a new device.
You can find further details about managing your licenses in this support article, this support article, as well as this support article.
I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.
    Thanks
