Malwarebytes "My Account"
Firefox replied to galileo's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
When you purchased the licenses, were you using the same email address you registered with in the My Account page? The email addresses have to match. -
You shouldn't need a cheat sheet per say.. most often a staff member will see the topic and reply to it, if they need to contact another staff member they will do so as they see fit. If a topic gets overlooked perhaps you can just direct them to who is managing the forum at the time, usually @LiquidTension (at this time) or the forum admin @AdvancedSetup That being said, they do a pretty good job without having to tag them for the most part...

Another bugged update!!
Firefox replied to lurch234's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Hello and Welcome @lurch234 Certainly understand your frustration, and of course your welcome to do what you want with your computer.. That being said, reviewing all your previous posts, you have never submitted logs for review. It could certainly just be a conflict of some sort on your computer with what you run on your system. Its possible it could all be resolved by the team, if they were given a chance simply by you providing the requested logs above.... of course that is totally up to you. -
This sounds familiar, now I remember.... I recommended in one of your other topics to replace the hard drive, all the work your putting into that hard drive is really a waste of time since its failing...

Microsoft Ending Support for Windows 7 All software products have a life-cycle. After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running the Windows 7 operating system. After this date, this product will no longer receive free: Technical support for any issues Software updates Security updates or fixes Computers running the Windows 7 operating system will continue to work even after support ends. However, using unsupported software may increase the risks from viruses and other security threats. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) encourages users and administrators to upgrade to a currently supported operating system. If the clone was connected to the internet and it had enough time to connect to the activation servers, then it detected it as another install, once you exceed your activation count (if its a lifetime that would be one computer) then it will deactivate all installs. You can create your account and manually add your license key into that account so you would be able to see the activation counts and deactivate any computers listed.

First and foremost, make sure you have changed the default password on the router.....

No matter what work you do on this computer, its a gamble (almost a lost cause) as the hard drive is failing. Backup that data now, get a new drive and install a fresh copy of Win10 64bit.

New Zealand Tragedy-Related Scams and Malware Campaigns In the wake of the recent New Zealand mosque shootings, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) advises users to watch out for possible malicious cyber activity seeking to capitalize on this tragic event. Users should exercise caution in handling emails related to the shooting, even if they appear to originate from trusted sources. Fraudulent emails often contain links or attachments that direct users to phishing or malware-infected websites. Emails requesting donations from duplicitous charitable organizations are also common after tragic events. Be wary of fraudulent social media pleas, calls, texts, donation websites, and door-to-door solicitations relating to the event. To avoid becoming a victim of malicious activity, users and administrators should consider taking the following preventive measures: Use caution when opening email attachments, and do not click on links in unsolicited email messages. Refer to CISA’s Tip on Using Caution with Email Attachments. Review CISA’s Tip on Staying Safe on Social Networking Sites. Refer to CISA’s Tip on Avoiding Social Engineering and Phishing Attacks. Review the information from the Federal Trade Commission on Before Giving to a Charity. Sure, you need to disable (OFF) the two items Under Settings -> Application -> Application Updates (as shown in the picture below) If the program has already downloaded the update, its pending the install, in order to stop that you need to delete the installer that was downloaded. You may have to disable self protection to delete the file. It is located in the folder: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\instlrupdate
