It was first split in two Norman Shark, malware analysis and AV engine, this was later acquired by Blue Coat that again was acquired by Symantec The leftover Norman safeground was later acquired by AVG and all Norman users was moved over to AVG products, then AVG was acquired by avast ... so the big fish eat the small fish
