  3. If my memory serves me right, at one point and after the trial period expired, MB3 was performing a monthly scan even in the FREE version. There was talk that it was going to be removed and not sure if that has happened.
  4. Hello and Welcome! A custom scan can take several hours to run, depending on the settings you have set in Malwarebytes and the number of files on your computer, so that is probably normal. A threat scan is normally all that is needed. If you provide the requested logs in post number 2 above the team can assist you better.
  5. Glad you hear you got it sorted out, please let us know if you encounter any further issues.
  6. Key word is Shouldn't... and kudos to Malwarebytes for putting all the safeguards in place. I prefer to be on the safe side and decide for myself I something gets quarantined. This applies to windows files or any other program that may get detected.
  7. Hello and Welcome! Have you checked you junk/spam folders for any replies that may have gone there? What is your support ticket number?
  8. One of the first places you should check to see if others have reported any detections is in the false positives section, where you can see what others are saying about the detected items. Another thing to look for is the location of the files. If they are under the Windows Folder, you have to be careful. You can always come by here and post your detections and someone can assist you as well. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/122-false-positives/
  9. Most of the computers and customers I service maintain updated and clean computers. They don't tend to install anything new, and since they use MB3 Premium most things get blocked before it makes it onto the computer in the first place, so the scans are almost always clean and don't detect anything. On the occasion that once comes back with something detected, the user gets a notification that something was detected, and once that happens they either research it, come ask here on the forums, or simply call me and ask for advice. Not saying it can happen, but there has been at least two times I can remember where Malwarebytes automatically quarantined some files that rendered the computers from booting into windows. I spend several weeks repairing those computers, so now we prefer to decide for ourselves what gets removed.
  10. Not sure what resolution your using on your computer, what happens if you maximize the MB3 Window, do the buttons show then?
  11. Although the setting is there and available as mentioned above by @exile360 I don't recommend that setting to my customers. One false positive that gets removed and you system may be down for awhile. Its happened in the past, and I rather be safe than sorry. But that is totally up to you.
  12. Hello and Welcome! Just curious, is the date and time correct on your computer?
  13. I can understand that, however in this case its in the General MB3 section so I would assume those should count... not sure if they are able to post through FB here.
  14. Is this a bug perhaps. The post below was posted by a new member, and since they posted the post count should be at least 1, why is it showing 0 posts for this user?
  15. Your Welcome! Glad to hear it worked. Should you need anything else, don't hesitate to post your questions/concerns.

  18. Hello and Welcome! Yes it is quite possible. Since the old computer is no longer working, you can go to https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login and login with the email address you used to purchase your copy of Malwarebytes. There you can remove/deactivate the old computer. After that simply install on new computer and activate it. For more info you can have a look at this KB Article: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1037
  19. Hello and Welcome back... (glad you found your answer) Yes Anti-Exploit as well as Anit-Ransomware is now part of MB3 Premium with an active license
  20. Hello and Welcome. Your issue is most likely cause by the Winmgmt service not running on your computer. That service needs to be running. So to Services and ensure that Windows Management Instrumentation service is set to Automatic and then try and start the service. If it stays running reboot the computer and see if all is well. Also you logs show that this computer is most likely infected, it would probably be best to seek help from one of the experts to get one on one help on getting it cleaned up as well as fix the WMI service. To do so simply follow the instructions in the topic below. Basically start a new topic in the malware removal area and include the same logs you posted above.
  21. Hello and welcome! While you wait on a reply from staff, see if you can go to https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login and create an account using the email address you used to purchase. It should contain your License info there. Also make sure you check in your junk/spam folders. HTH
  22. Depending on the license you have. A lifetime license can only be used on one computer, however it can be transferred to another computer. If you have a multi computer license then you can install it on the number of devices you are licensed for. If you deactivate it from your desktop, then you can install and activate it on your laptop. If I am not mistaken, you can go to https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login and login with the email address you bought your license with, and there should be an option there to add another license.
  23. Windows 7 will not stop working, it just won't receive any more security updates from Microsoft. Malwarebytes will continue to work on Windows 7 as well, and will protect you from any know threats. If you are using the Premium paid for version it will go a long way into keeping you safe. Eventfully just like with Windows XP, you will have to upgrade.
