Season One starts off strong with a combination of outrageous, bizarre premise & behavior. The novelty wore off at the beginning of Season Two. This series centers on grief connected to a parent's death-specifically a sole remaining parent. Coping is explored through adaptive & self-defeating ways. Along side this main theme are ways in which we all look for meaning in life, how it changes, how we can fool ourselves, deny reailty and create our own. Some characters grow on you, some start to get irritating. That's pretty much true in life too. A sequel released after 36 year later from the first movie could have make less expectations,but this movie was great!
