  2. Hello @maltelboy Can you please give this a try: 1. Use the mb-clean tool from here: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean and clean up and reinstall the product. 2. Once the product is installed go to Settings/ Applications tab and click on the "Install Application Updates" button. This should ask for a restart of the Malwarebytes product to install the latest Cu 1.0.262 Please let us know if that actually worked. Thank you
  3. Can you please try updating to the latest CU to check if that solves the problem: 1. From Settings /Applications tab click on the "Install application updates" button. 2. You should be able to download the latest CU and it will ask you to restart Malwarebytes. 3. AFter product restart please let us know if you still see the issue.
  4. Hello @manthony I would also recommend downloading the latest Beta CU update. That update has a fix for the web protection not starting issue.
  5. Hello @Denn1 Glad to know everything worked out. Just to be sure not that you can launch Malwarebytes in the normal mode, I would recommend turn on the Root-kit scan option under settings and run a threat scan just to be sure. Thank you.
  6. The beta Component update has the fix for the updates not starting issue. Can you please give that a go and let us know if you are still seeing the issue. Please follow the diagrams that @Porthos sent. After getting the beta update your CU version should be 1.0.261
  7. The way to do it is : 1. Turn on the Beta settings. 2. Once you do that you could either (Wait for your update OR Click on the "Install Application Updates" button ) This should download the beta update.

  11. Hello @pmcjr The beta build that @Porthos sent out has the fix for the Real time protection not starting. What was happening was there was a bad update due to which the web protection driver was stuck in a race condition and would not start. The latest beta should have the fix. Thank you.
  12. Hello @RBF Please uninstall the old one and run the latest beta one I sent yesterday. Also since you are on XP you will have C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data and not c:\ProgramData Thank you.

  15. Hello @RBF Thank you for hanging in there. We actually have a new Beta build for MBAE that has a fix for protected apps specifically on XP.   16. The new Beta update which we released yesterday has a fix for the issue. To get the latest update check the "Beta Application updates to on" Once you have that on click on the "Install Application Updates" button under application updates. You should get the beta update with the fix.
  17. Hello @RBF The MBAE.exe will be from your regular 1.11 install. The debug folder has only 4 files which you need to drop into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit folder After that run MBAE.exe which was installed as a part of the 1.11 installer.

Open registry and delete the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware_is1 2. After deleting that key run the latest installer from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3 Let us know if that worked.
