I've run Emsisoft with MBAE and MBAM together with no problems.

If you use Chrome Ann try uBlock, its a Chrome extension that blocks adds, bad sites etc, MVP hosts file is one of the options you can choose in it, I use it, no problems at all.

I wanted to suggest that as well with all the trouble Ann is having with it but didn't want to over-step, now that David has suggested it, I agree.

I have used Emsisoft for several months now, no false positives at all. Actually I've found it to be one of the most quiet AV's going, no popups, no ads, no bloat, super quiet and efficient in my opinion. Also one of the few AV's who do not leak your private data. I can't say why you say it comes in the way of everything, in my experience and in most forums I read it seems to be the exact opposite of what you are saying.

I had to contact MBAM support/sales once about 3 years ago, was painless, quick and very good. Can't remember if was MBAM or Cleverbridge, in any case no complaints then.

Whenever I try these test Chrome blocks 4 of then and Bitdefender Trafficlight blocks the other so my other protection doesn't even come into play.

Installed over top, had Chrome open at the time, crashed all my Chrome extensions, Lastpass, Trafficlight and Adblock Plus, closing the browser and re-opening seems too have fixed this.

I was having update issues with an earlier version, am using 2.0.2.1012 now and no problems. There are ways to recover your license info, you will not have to pay again. One of the experts will tell you how in short order.

Just a couple of suggestions, if they have been posted before I apologize. Change the ability to edit a post from 100 posts to 5 or 10. Not sure why you guys do this, but it seems to me that many people need to edit a post before they reach 100. How many people even reach 100? In my case I read this forum everyday but might take a year before I have 100 posts. In the Malware Removal portion of the forum why do you have people copy and paste their logs? It may be easier for the cleaners, I don't know, but it sure makes it harder for anyone who wants to read thru some of the posts, your scrolling and scrolling and scrolling....... And.... I have no idea why my font changed half way thru this post.

advanced setup - I have not used the clean routine as its not a big issue for me yet, I just manually update, perhaps one day I will try. I am 99.9% sure its not malware related. One of these days I will try to re-install, if there is still problems after that I will post again. I just wanted to let you guys know I am having a problem. Thanks.

Just a comment, running 1009, it is not updating, previous version was not updating either, at times it would but 90% of the time it won't update. Have settings set to update hourly. Now, I usually manually update a couple minutes after starting computer so its possible MBAM would update if I waited. So just wanted to comment, I am not going to run any tools for you guys, I can live with it, if I get tired of manually updating there is always uninstalling. Is it possible to have a repair option for issues like this rather than uninstall/reinstall?

Just noticed this, with old version if I right clicked on a folder a box would pop up, one of the items in the box would be " Scan with MBAM" with new version this is not in the box.

In version 1.75 it was called Pro Version, in the new version 2.00, it is called the Premium version, they are both the same thing, the paid version of MBAM. If you have the paid version in 1.75 you can use your license to get the Premium version of 2.00. It should detect it automatically when you upgrade.

MBAE doesn't need any additional functions like a software updater. In my experience most updaters don't work correctly anyways. The latest version of Secunia does not work right on my computer and any others I have tried miss a lot of software that I have installed.

Which version of MBAM did you install? May be incompatibility with some other software on your computer or possibly a corrupted version of MBAM. What other software are you running? Where did you download MBAM from? Someone will get back to you, hang tight, they are really good at helping people on this forum.

Installed tonight, not problems so far. Desktop icon works for me this version as well. When I uninstalled previous version thru the control panel it said that some items could not be uninstalled and would have to be removed manually, I assume that's something in the registry. Is it ok to leave it?
