Does it show that its blocking anything or is the program just opening itself?

FYI...I am using 2.1.4.1018, threat scan took 6:37 with 331,000 objects scanned, so no issues with slow scanning here. ( Windows 7)

Not fond of the smiley face myself but I'm thinking if you give it a couple of months you won't even notice its there.

I haven't noticed a slowdown either so if one exists its pretty minimal.

edgetech, same thing happened to me, I didn't reboot but checked " Restore Defaults" and that fixed it .

Me too, MBAM frequently was top 5, drop in ratings is not worrysome, this is just another page for reference, not to be taken as a strict guideline for your security choices. Very rarely do any of these test sites get comparable testing results.

This has happened to me a couple of times in the past 2 days as well, a box pops up saying it failed to load or something to that effect. A restart usually corrects the problem. If it happens again I will post a screenshot of box.

Is it jv16 powertools Anne? If so I would not install it at all, software like this that promises to speed up or cleanup your PC, etc are mostly crapware and can do more harm than good.

I know it weird that it is gone but as previously mentioned I'm not going to worry about it. Changed to what for editing posts, I've notice some members with less than 100 posts are honorary members?

fyi, icon on MBAM shield is gone now. Another question, why can't I edit my posts yet? I was under the assumption that at 100 posts you became a honorary member and editing posts was possible then?

Thought the same, alas not the case, UAC is turned off. Its ok, was just wondering if anyone had a tip to fix this, seems not. You can close this thread if you like.

I like the additions too other then the balloons, but I can see why they did that.

Ok, so then if I turn balloon off I will get no notification at all, no balloon and nothing in the log? I don't like that, it should be either one, I do not like the balloon popping up everytime I open something up.

I know UAC on is recommended but I'm thinking that if Emsisoft, MBAM, MBAE, Appguard can't protect then nothing will. I was messing around setting up a VM this weekend so maybe that had something to do with it. I'm sure it will go away, I seem to recall this happened to me once before with another program and it went away.

Thanks daledoc, I have my UAC turned off, I'm thinking a glitch too and that it will disappear one of these days as well. Was just wondering if anyone knew anything more. I deleted my icon cache to see if that would fix it as well. Anyways I'll pass on the logs for now, its not a big deal.
