  1. Having an option to manually quarantine a file or folder that seems suspicious to the user but hasn't been detected by MalwareBytes feels like it would be an extremely helpful feature for people who regularly work with sensitive data. In addition, it could have other uses too for power users, such as making stubborn folders on deleted user profiles finally go away. If anyone else has thoughts on this suggestion, please share them!
  2. Is MBAE Premium yearly subscription manual or automatic using a credit card? I encountered the message below before making a purchase. I prefer manual, letting myself decide before the expiration date when to renew, depending on current monthly cash flow. Though I currently use MBAE latest beta and happy with it, my decision whether or when to upgrade is dependent on this. If automatic, have to wait until I have a credit card that expires less than a year from now. Too many problems with automatic billing (not MB) with other prodcuts and services in the past. 'I confirm that I am signing up for a subscription product that will be billed in regular intervals. Continued use of the purchased product is contingent upon my payment of the subscription. Details about the price and frequency of the billing were shown to me in the shopping cart above.'
  3. Hello -- The dashboard indicates that the database is out of date I select "fix" and it says that It contact the update server Can I do the update manualy?
  4. The manual definitions update download at http://malwarebytes.gt500.org/ doesn't seem to have been updated since August. Am I looking in the right place? Thanks
  5. Dear support, I am having trouble with the manual update. I know it has been asked before, but probably I am too stupid to get it, so I need to ask again. I installed the latest version of Malwarebytes (, and then downloaded the latest "rules" as described here: http://techdows.com/...ml#comment-6316 Now comes the part, where we need to go slow... I copied the rules.912022001.ref file to the folder C:/program data/malwarebytes , which is where the old rules.ref file is, and then I deleted the old rules.ref file, and changed the new one such that the version number 9120.... is gone, and it is just rules.ref . Correct? Now it doesn't work ("database not found or corrupt"). The FAQ now says: "Starting with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.60, you must also copy the file database.conf located within the Configuration folder which is in the same folder as rules.ref listed above." So now the second question, very slowly: where do I get the "database.conf" from? Where should I copy it and where should I paste it? Is there a later "database.conf" on the internet that I can download, just as the "rules" file? Again, I am sorry if that is completely moronic what I asking here.
