While Malwarebytes is running it's scan, other anti protection companies log on and give the full reports/findings within less than 5 minutes. And the problem I have with this is that when you finish your scan and issue your findings, they are the exactly the same as the competitors. So I know it can be done quicker! kitkin15.tk Posted January 18, 2010 ID:185376 Share Posted January 18, 2010 my "quick scan" with malwarebytes is 15 min, full scan can be from an hour ro 2 hours.the reason could also be how much stuff is on your computer, i have my own website that deals with prgorams, so i end up with alot of programs, and alot of memory used up. malwarebytes dont take that long, i personaly love this program and tell everyone i know to get it, even if they say they have no problems...malwarebytes will find stuff others cant Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

kitkin15.tk Posted January 19, 2010 ID:185995 Share Posted January 19, 2010 i run ccleaner every night (not the reg cleaner part of it) and i also erase my passwords and browser history (i go to alot of different places with my laptop, i dont need anything stolen).but i install many programs daily, so its going to go slow for me...sucks, but the scan is 1000000% worth it, malwarebytes is the best prgoram i have found so far, and i doubt anything can beat it or keep as updated as they do Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You will open CCleaner the you click on Tools on the left panel then select Startup. You could just temporary disable any items you want, and if you find out you do need that item later, you could always go back and re-enable that item. Firefox Posted January 19, 2010 ID:186212 Share Posted January 19, 2010 Mine are never quicker that 5 Minutes, it ranges from 5 minutes flat to about 10 minutes, depends which computer is being scanned, I do mine at my lunch hour so I an not concerned on how long it takes, cause when I come back from lunch it is done.Full scan I hardly run it but it ranges from 40 min. to 1.5 hours. noknojon Posted January 20, 2010 ID:186488 Share Posted January 20, 2010 I must upgrade my unit (1 Gig) or buy a new one - But this one is usually 70% free space as I never run too much stuff unless I need it -It was around 74-75% free until she started on F/book - Still for a 5 year old unit it serves very well most times -A 6-7 min quick and 1 hr 15 min long scan is most likely just due to its age and constant usage for small games etc. - (Plus grand kids that play on it a lot) -But I would still not be without my MBAM -?? What would I do with 8 Gig ??
