  1. We are excited to release new themes for the Malwarebytes Forums to all users. Now you have even more options to personalize your experience on the forums. Here is a quick overview of the themes and you can click the Spoiler to see a screenshot: Light - The new default theme for our Forums and replaces the previous Malwarebytes 4.5 theme. This is the theme new Members and Guests will see as well. Dark - A true dark theme based on dark and light grays Night - A darker theme that uses black, dark grays, and a dark blue. Great for OLED displays or those that love an extremely dark theme Cosmos - A dark theme with different grays and splashes of space blue to add some color Crimson - A red theme that pays some homage to our original red branding from many years ago Legacy Dark - Our first dark theme that uses a dark gray background with light gray for the content areas IPS - The base theme that IPS ships with their forum platform We also want to thank our Honarary Members, Experts, and above for helping the Forum Administrators refine these themes. Their feedback was invaluable to making these ready. How Do I Change My Theme Setting? To change your theme, simply click the Theme button at the bottom of any page and select it: What About The Previous Themes? The previous Malwarebytes 4.5 theme has been replaced by the Light theme and the Malwarebytes Dark 4.5 theme has been renamed to Legacy Dark. The Legacy Dark theme includes lots of hardcoded adjustments due to being made for an earlier version of the IPS Community Suite, so we may remove this theme at a later date. How can I provide feedback on themes? Simply click here to start a fresh topic with your feedback.
  2. @AlexLeadingEdge can you generate and share diagnostic logs from the endpoint you tested this on? I can help get this over to that team. Also, to confirm what you are seeing, how many failed RDP attempts were tried?
  3. @AlexLeadingEdge in your testing, were you using devices on the same local/private network to perform the failed RDP connection attempts? If so, then what you are seeing is expected as the "Prevent private network connections from being blocked" setting is On by default.
  4. @flupke after reviewing the ticket, this requires immediate escalation. I am awaiting a response from the team and will follow up as soon as I know more.
  5. Hi @Rajdaj!! Thanks for sharing this. As pointed out by @David H. Lipman, this is a known tech support scam that is using the Malwarebytes name in an attempt to trick users. These sorts of scams are sadly common and have used our name and other major technology company names in the past. With that being said, our research team is doing whatever we can to combat these scammers, but the best advice is to ignore/delete these emails and remember that we would never legitimately send an email like this.
  6. @KCarmody I will send you a PM so we can try a few things. Usually this is a case where there is a browser extension or a 3rd party application being evil. Granted, it's also possible your account is somehow partially corrupted in the IPS platform's database.
  7. @CarlosCC @Porthos please send me the logs if you can. I have worked very closely with the Web Protection team on this issue and can help get this over to them asap.
  8. @HyrulianWolf I have moved your post to the proper section. I apologize for the issues this false positive is creating.
  9. Thanks for the update!! Glad to hear this is working!!
  10. We greatly appreciate you giving this a chance and confirming that things are working better!!
  11. Sorry, there was a typo in the original beta 4.3.0 post. You have the correct version and the post has been updated.
  12. Sorry, there was a typo in the original beta 4.3.0 post. You have the correct version and the post has been updated.
  13. @Pluto @rgrosz789 we just released a new beta build that is designed to address the printer offline issue: Please try it out and let us know the results when you can. Thanks a ton for staying with us as we worked through this difficult issue.
  14. @jimandlee we do apologize for this issue with the Web Protection module in Malwarebytes Premium. Truth be told, it has been a bear to identify and fully resolve as we have struggled to reproduce the issue internally. We have attempted to resolve this twice now and while it has been resolved for some customers, the issue has either continued or changed slightly. With that being said, our engineers are working on a complete solution that should be ready soon. So keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, we have two workarounds you can utilize that do not involve turning off Malwarebytes completely: Disable the Web Protection module when you need to print. Disable SNMP Status for the TCP port used by the printer. If needed, expand the spoiler below for detailed instructions on the workarounds:
  15. Glad to help and no problem on the fast reply. Check your Messages for details on the fix. @joe42353 I have also sent you a private message with the details.
  16. Thanks for sharing the logs!! I know this issue is frustrating and we are working on solving this asap. The time delay before the issue occurs makes it harder to catch and recreate the problem as well as verify its solved as we develop a full fix. With that said, we are close to a solution. Would you be open to trying a potential fix for us? If so, I can send you a DM with details. Totally hear you on this being maddening. It's not as easy as going back to an older version due to the complexity of general changes and how all the protection modules work together. To be honest, it takes a little bit of time to verify the issue, identify the root cause, develop a solution, code it, and test it. But the good news is we feel we have this one figured out. Would you also be open to trying a potential fix for us? If so, I can send you a DM with details.
  17. Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have moved your thread here so you can get support from one of our community malware removal experts. To help get the best support possible, please reply with some additional details on where you are encountering this issue along with the logs called out in the following thread:
  18. Thanks for the detailed information @Dave77. The remaining issue aligns with what we have uncovered as well. We are working on getting this fixed asap and apologize for the issues this has caused. As I mention above, we are working on a fix for this. For the meantime, you can disable the Web Protection module temporarily.
  19. I agree that the issue seems to have stopped occurring, but we still want to know what happened and why. Especially since the error indicated it was with a specific template file used by every theme that was still the default shipping version in all our themes.
  20. I will double check with the team, but this is likely omitted because a conflict potential is almost zero with that particular driver. More specifically, MbamElam is an Early Launch Antimalware (ELAM) driver used for detecting malware early in the Windows boot process. Once the Windows boot process gets to a particular point, ELAM drivers are unloaded and the OS finishes booting. EDIT: I split this side conversation in to its own topic.
