  3. As of right now there is no way to run mbam from a flash drive. Also as far as I know the developers are working hard on fixes and fighting malware at the time, and this is low on the priority list.
  4. Humm I got something similar when I tried accessing a sharepoint server... Try adding the site you are going to, to the Trusted Sites in internet explorer security options.....

  6. What antivirus software are you using? Are you using any other security software? You may have to enter exceptions in your antivirus software and firewall. Try this first and tell us if it is still happening...   8. Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes.... Error 730: Unable to load the database. Please reinstall the application. Please try this on the computer that is having an issue. 1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel. 2. Restart your computer (very important). 3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe 4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to). 5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here. mbam-setup.exe Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray and that you can run a quick scan and all is working as expected.

  10. Great news, there are not too many software developers out there that work hard like the MBAB folks. Most blame the problem on other software and we have to tuff it out. But here with the MBAM folks they try thier hardest to help replicate the problem and fix it..... A big Cuddos to the folks here!

Step 1: Verify Internet Connectivity of Internet Explorer: Backup the Registry: Modifying the Registry can create unforeseen problems, so it always wise to create a backup before doing so. Please download ERUNT from here ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) is a free program that allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed. Double click on erunt-setup.exe to Install ERUNT by following the prompts. Use the default install settings but say NO to the portion that asks you to add ERUNT to the Start-Up folder. You can enable this option later if you wish. Start ERUNT either by double clicking on the desktop icon or choosing to start the program at the end of the setup process. Choose a location for the backup. Note: the default location is C:\Windows\ERDNT which is acceptable. [*]Make sure that at least the first two check boxes are selected. [*]Click on OK [*]Then click on YES to create the folder.   12. if it is blocking that IP more than likely it is a treat. it is hard to determine as to why you get it at startup without us knowing what programs on your computer start up automatically. For example if you have some P2P software that starts at startup that could cause it. We would have to see some autorun logs to try and help determine the cause.
  13. If you have already quarantined the file, it will no longer affect your system. It is safe, you can keep it in the quarantine folder for a little while to make sure it was not a false positive, and then in a week or two you can delete it from the quarantine if you found no issues with your computer.

  15. Far as I know Nod and MBAM will work together, if there is a conflict, all you have to do is enter the right exceptions into your NOD and it will work fine. As far as two firewalls, I would only use ONE AV and ONE Firewall at time to avoid possible conflicts.
  16. your link and mine are the same.... I hit the refresh like 10 times and saw that ip block only a couple of times, that tells me its one of the adds on that page, not the main site though. If it were that main site, it would not even allow us to connect to it.
  17. I was able to got to hxxp://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ with no popup from MBAM at all.... More than likely it was from one of the advertisements on that page, that change every time you go to the page.
  18. @ chriscom dont forget to make sure and do an update to Malwarebytes before you do your quick scan.

  20. Just a note.... No AV is 100% accurate, thats why we used layered protection like in your case, you will use Viper and Malwarebytes. As far as Viper being better than MSE, well thats a matter of preferance, I know Sunbelt has been dealing with virus removal and detection a lot longer than Microsoft, so its your choice. I do not use either of these.... I have lots of computers, and I use McAfee Corp Edition 8.7i on some, Symantec Endpoint Protection on others, and Etrust on others.... some not by choice....
  21. you can try sending a report in the false positives section RIGHT HERE and they will have a look at that site to see if it can be removed from the list.
