To see that location you'll need to do the following first:

Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows XP:

.....

The OS of my computer is Vista, basic Home Edition.

I followed

Step 1: Show Hidden Files and Folders:

Show Hidden Files and Folders in Windows Vista and Windows 7:

* Click on the Start button and select Computer

* Press the Alt key on your keyboard and click on Tools

* Select Folder Options

* Click the View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is selected under Hidden files and folders

* Next, uncheck the box next to Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

* Then, uncheck the box next to Hide extensions for known file types

* Click Apply then click OK

and I did

Step 2: Exclude Files and Folders:

I put everything in the Exclude Files and Folders except

C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes

Because I could not find it. So I copied "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes" into Exclude Folders. But it didn't work.

I finally got the right path as below:

C:\Users\acer\Desktop\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\

C:\Users\acer\Desktop\Programs\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\

But I still got the same error message:

MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE (0,0)

It didn't work at all.

It possible that maybe your codepage is in unicode and is causing the issue. Though on most languages it works, for some there is an issue.

Please run the following and we'll see if we can detect anything obvious.

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt

  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop

  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt

Well no good answer for you as it could just be the language files on your system that we're having trouble with.

You can try the following to see if it works or not but otherwise I don't see anything obvious that would stop it.

Please do the following to see if it resolves the issue:

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or post to ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

  • Click on the Start vista-7-start.png button and select Control Panel
  • Click on Programs and Features
It seems to be having an issue reading the database for some reason. Can you verify that the database rules are there on your system.

Windows XP and 2000

* C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

* C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

Make sure you set your files and folder to show hidden files or you won't find that folder.
