  2. AdvancedSetup's post in Java malicious inbound socket detected alert was marked as the answer
    Hello @koo9903
Please uninstall your current version of Java. You were seeking help here last year and we reminded you to always keep Java up to date. The best thing possible is to uninstall Java and never use it again period.
Go to Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features and uninstall
    Java 8 Update 271

Restart the computer and scan again and see if you're still having the same issue and let us know.
    Thank you

  3. AdvancedSetup's post in Cannot update Premium version of Malwarebytes was marked as the answer
    Hello @ecagan and
The logs indicate the computer needs a bit of maintenance and clean up. Please run the following fix

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop or location where you ran FRST from.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64, and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.
Please make sure you disable any real time antivirus or security software before running this script. Once completed make sure you re-enable it.
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system that cannot be undone.
Run FRST or FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or wherever you ran FRST from. Please attach or post it to your next reply.
Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.
NOTE-1:  This fix will run a scan to check that all Microsoft operating system files are valid and not corrupt and attempt to correct any invalid files. It will also run a disk check on the restart to ensure disk integrity. Depending on the speed of your computer this fix may take 30 minutes or more.
NOTE-2: As part of this fix all temporary files will be removed. If you have any open web pages that have not been bookmarked please make sure you bookmark them now as all open applications will be automatically closed. Also, make sure you know the passwords for all websites as cookies will also be removed. The use of an external password manager is highly recommended instead of using your browser to store passwords.
    The following directories are emptied:
Windows Temp Users Temp folders Edge, IE, FF, Chrome and Opera caches, HTML5 storages, Cookies and History Recently opened files cache Flash Player cache Java cache Steam HTML cache Explorer thumbnail and icon cache BITS transfer queue (qmgr*.dat files) Recycle Bin Important: items are permanently deleted. They are not moved to quarantine. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before running this fix.
The system will be rebooted after the fix has run.
    fixlist.txt
    Thanks

Hosts: Hosts file not detected in the default directory
Please restore or create a default hosts file

You also have a Service installed that most believe should be removed
    S1 TASANTIVIRUSKD; \??\C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital Communications\SAntivirus\TASAntivirusKD.sys [X] <==== ATTENTION

You have an ADS (Alternate Data Stream) set that should be removed
    AlternateDataStreams: C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\vjvdqtmh.sys:changelist [272]
The driver might be valid but is an odd name and a Google Search does not bring up any hits for it. I'd recommend locating the driver and uploading to https://virustotal.com and have them scan the file
    C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\vjvdqtmh.sys

This cache folder from Discord was flagged by Windows Defender as a threat. If it still exists you should remove it.

  9. AdvancedSetup's post in [ RESOLVED ] Can't install Malwarebytes, even when running the support tool was marked as the answer
You have quite a bit more than just Windows installed.
You're system is reporting the following error.
    Could not list restore points
Check "winmgmt" service or repair WMI.
Using the MBST tool you can repair WMI from there. Open our MBST tool and to to the Advanced
I'd recommend you check all 4 boxes and the click to repair. Then restart the computer and see if you can install Malwarebytes now

  13. AdvancedSetup's post in Maleware accreset.com when searching in google.com on the chrome browser was marked as the answer
Again, the issue is in Google Chrome. You can see it in the path in the screenshot you posted. No one can properly clean out all of Google Chrome as Google made changes a couple years ago now that no longer allows antivirus vendors to inject their code into Chrome to remove items. It must be done manually.
Go run Microsoft Edge or Firefox or Opera and I bet those browsers don't produce the same error. Let me know.

Please review the following link with more details on cleaning Google Chrome.
    Thank you

    SecurityCheck by glax24

I would like you to run a tool named SecurityCheck to inquire about the current-security-update status of some applications.
Download SecurityCheck by glax24 from here  https://tools.safezone.cc/glax24/SecurityCheck/SecurityCheck.exe and save the tool on the desktop. If Windows's  SmartScreen block that with a message-window, then Click on the MORE INFO spot and over-ride that and allow it to proceed. This tool is safe.   Smartscreen is overly sensitive. Right-click  with your mouse on the Securitycheck.exe  and select "Run as administrator"   and reply YES to allow to run & go forward Wait for the scan to finish. It will open in a text file named SecurityType.txt. Close the file.  Attach it with your next reply. You can find this file in a folder called SecurityCheck, C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt

Only Staff and Experts can view your logs but I can remove the logs if you like or even remove the entire post if you like. The purpose for leaving posts is in the hopes to help future users that come along looking for a fix where they might be able to do the fix on their own without even posting for help. That way you potentially help dozens or hundreds with a similar issues.

  24. AdvancedSetup's post in Adwcleaner quarantined items not appearing in quarantined tab was marked as the answer
Sorry for the delay. I was out sick on Friday.
The link that AdwCleaner found and removed was an entry as an extension in Chrome.
    ***** [ Chromium (and derivatives) ] *****
    PUP.Optional.SearchLock         madakpajlmcpaodhfbekojajlhbdklol

If you look in your Google Chrome extensions it would be listed if it was not removed by AdwCleaner
    Blocking of the site
vfgrse.com May or may not be related to that SearchLock extension

Please follow the directions from the following topic and let us know if that corrects the issue for you.

After you've cleaned up Google Chrome please get me some logs from FRST

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. Press the Scan button. It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply. The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well. Thank you

All good then. I'm not seeing any infections and the logs look reasonably good. Security scans show no issues.
Unless there is something else you should be okay at this point.
