Patch Tuesday

Recommended Posts

I have not tested them yet but I have seen some early reports that some of the fixes still left some holes open....

Look on the bright Firefox; there's a couple less holes than this time yesterday. Or to put it another way your leaky bucket has smaller holes!

------

Out of interest how are you finding IE8? Noticed any problems or peculiarities with it?

I'm still on IE7 and finding it perfectly all right for general web browsing/use.

Can't give myself a reason to upgrade yet.

Me too - I still do not like IE 8 as much as 7 - Been there twice and keep going back to IE 7 - :)

EDIT - To my first reply - Not 100% sure they were MSE as I only saw something that looked like it -

Grey tape can fix almost anything - 3 rolls in kitchen drawers and a box in the shed - :)

You find the awesomest pictures, YoKenny1 :)

I'll probably get my updates tomorrow.

Edit: I upgraded to IE8 when it came out coz I thought I needed to for security. Turns out that's not true. Oh well. It's alright. I hardly use IE much anyway, so its alright. I've been using it more than I have in the last year lately though.

Been here since December 05.

Why I use IE8 over IE7:

Windows 8 is a long way off yet and Windows 7 has not even had a Service pack yet.

Hello Marcus:

I really don't enjoy disturbing your complacency Marcus but, IE7 suffers from an unrepairable Window Injection Vulnerability flaw that's deemed moderately critical:

I would seriously consider employing another browser were I you.
