NewTricks Posted April 12 Author ID:1629755 Share Posted April 12 My question re: mosquito zapping. What happens to their blood when they die? Sprays out or drips down? 🧐
David H. Lipman Posted April 12 ID:1629756 Share Posted April 12 The whole concept is to attract them with UV light and then put a high Voltage across their body and outright kill them. @brad03 has got it. Keep it clean so the high Voltage electric charge is not lost via mini paths of power consumption. It will definitely keep the volume of insects down. Great around the outdoor grill ! David H. Lipman Posted April 12 ID:1629762 Share Posted April 12 Here's what I call a drawback "Two 40W replaceable UV lightbulbs" It should be an array of LEDs that are tuned to cover the range of UV that the insects (varies with type of flying insect) are attracted too. NewTricks Posted April 12 Author ID:1629780 Share Posted April 12 Yikes! Just kidding before. When I was talking about egrets last year, you posted a grebe or something with silly crown. I'm not that far gone, yet. Wow, toxic stuff. I can see small animals would not survive well.
