scrunge Posted January 30, 2017 ID:1097200 Share Posted January 30, 2017 since updating on 29 Jan 17 I seem not to be able to whitelist with the usual wildcard, for example the following websites: *.zippyshare.com *.solidfiles, com thanks for any advice in advance
thisisu Posted January 30, 2017 ID:1097216 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Hi scrunge, Try whitelisting the following for Zippyshare: zippyshare.com *.zippshare.com 37.187.134.184 and these for Solidfiles: solidfiles.com *.solidfiles.com 37.221.163.212 You may need to toggle Web Protection off/on for the changes to take effect. scrunge Posted January 30, 2017 Author ID:1097243 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Tried and tested and also rebooted, the only way to get to these websites with this updated version is to turn off web protection. Any other ideas I wonder?
thisisu Posted January 30, 2017 ID:1097391 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Doubt this matters but have you also tried clearing your browser's cache? Aside from that, I'm out of ideas
duvkata Posted January 30, 2017 ID:1097396 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I am having exactly the same problem. I have whitelisted several sites and none of them work. I don't even get block.malwarebytes I get a DNS error. This is all happening since the last update. Private/Incognito (no cache) doesn't make any difference. Please fix your software because right now mbam is as good as useless for me and I'm forced to disable web protection.
scrunge Posted January 30, 2017 Author ID:1097428 Share Posted January 30, 2017 If the problem cannot be resolved for the time being, how about giving us the possibility to roll back to the previous version that functioned....?

You can download Malwarebytes 2.2.1 from the FAQ article. https://support.malwarebytes.com/customer/portal/articles/1835314?b_id=6438
OrangeSour Posted April 20, 2017 ID:1118696 Share Posted April 20, 2017 Same boat. Whitelisting seems to do absolutely nothing. I have to keep toggling web protection on and off during the work day.

MBAM doesn't throw any alerts, however, with web protection on various java applets will not load. Toggling it off will allow them to load. They're business specific apps attached to various clients and markets that are not under my control, and that I can't exactly submit.

Porthos Posted April 21, 2017 ID:1119020 Share Posted April 21, 2017 I personally do not have any clients with that issue. I will ask @dcollins or @AdvancedSetup to assist.
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted April 22, 2017 Root Admin ID:1119099 Share Posted April 22, 2017 @OrangeSour Hello, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware won't block those. It's possible that our Anti-Exploit or Web Blocking could but it should log it if it were blocking. Can we get all the logs from one of the systems involved? Please read the following and attach to your next reply the 4 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 4 logs are: mbam logs zipped, FRST.txt, Addition.txt and mb-checkResult.txt) Thanks, Ron
