    • As you already know, I use beta version 1.4.5.
    • I use iOS 13.4
    • I tried to remove Malwarebytes and reinstall it
    • I forced the definition update at least a hundred times
    • My definitions are a month old. The last update dates back to February 27, 2020.
    • Is it just my problem?

I ask it because until the old version they updated several times a day (at least web protection and call protection). Ad-Blocker has always updated more sporadically

    I attach screenshots

    @treed @adas Help me, please.

    Thanks

    Have a good day

  1. If you have scanned with Malwarebytes you have certainly removed the cause of your problem but the browser settings cannot be fixed by Malwarebytes.

To restore this follow this post   How to remove the after-effects of adware writed by @treed

If you do not resolve follow this article Upload logs to your ticket using the Malwarebytes Support Tool for Mac but don't post the results here; rather it registers a support ticket and sends the zip files created by email https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    I hope I was helpful

    Have a nice Sunday

  2. I noticed that in the Malwarebytes 4.x "scan reports" the message "scan completed" rather than the message "scan stopped by user" no longer appears.
It was a function present in Malwarebytes 3.x that I thought was useful to let people know if the report was more or less reliable. In fact, an interrupted scan cannot give us the same security as a completed one but there is no way of knowing it in the aftermath.

  4. This morning I opened Malwarebytes and not finding scans and I accidentally discovered that the scan schedule had disappeared. Everything was in order when the Mac was turned off last night
Normally it was done when the Mac was turned on in the morning and then every three hours and today at 10:55 (Italian time) none had been carried out despite the Mac being active for more than three hours.
I'm available for whatever was needed; obviously I proceeded to recreate the planning

At 11:00 the new scheduled scan was performed and nothing was detected.

    Definition updates successfully done.
    Malwarebytes version 4.2.1.2 - Definitions 4.0.464 from 13/03 morning

  5. On Firefox I only had Malwarebytes Browser Guard.

Is the ad-blocker sufficient for Safari?

Doesn't Google Safe Browsing need additional web protection?

If so I already use Ka-Block! It is the only extension I have

In the meantime, thank you for the new beta version (4.2.11) with automatic update to the new versions received right now while I replied

Nothing to report yet, unfortunately. There are some challenges involved with the changes Apple has made to Safari extensions lately.

What do you recommend while waiting?

    Is Google Safe Browsing sufficient?

I only use Safari on macOS Catalina 10.15.3

    Thank you

PS: I noticed that with Firefox installed the MWB scan takes 18 "on my Mac. Uninstalling Firefox changes to 3". I don't know if it affects all additional browsers. Change little but it's a noticeable difference (6 times as much)

  7. The account on the Malwarebytes site is only for purchases made on the Malwarebytes site.
The purchase made on the PlayStore is managed directly by Google and allows you to install the product on all your Android / ChromeOS devices connected to the Google account with which you made the purchase (subject to Google limitations); therefore a product key is not released.
