a question from friends @ Neowin
Firefox replied to hayc59's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I for one do not care to see what a computer is infected with during the scan, I am going to have to wait till the scan is complete anyway before I will do the removal. Its not like you are going to start a scan, then it finds something and you cancel it just so you can clean it. You will let it finish scanning to make sure it gets all the infections. -
I am with mountaintree16 on this one as well. I have been in the computer field for over 25 years. I work in the industry, and even though I dont have the expert title on this forum, I do work on computers in the real world and fight viruses and malware. I however respect the rules of this forum and do not post in the Hijackthis section as per the rules.

I cant remember exactly but I used malwarebytes back when it was at version 1.39 and cleaned out a system that had over 900 infections. MBAM Rocks

Hi the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Firefox replied to Kakachi's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
If it asks to restart after a program update, then restart so that files that were in use can get replaced. If you are asking if you need to restart only when you do a database update, no you don't have to restart for the new database file to be in use. Hope that answers your question. -
Hello lcander, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org Please read the following: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help. If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you.

@ mountaintree16 np, happy to help if you need it. @ Amethyst, I have been using linksys routers for years, and yes they are easy to configure. Also remember to update the firmware on them and create a backup of your config on the router, that way if you have to reset the router for xy reason (factory reset), you can always reload your config and you are back in business in no time at all.
-
Just by one of these: Linksys - Wireless-G Broadband Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch like from wall mart or best buy and I will walk you through the hook up. Its not that hard.

you should have her also run in normal mode now, as you may see that it may find more infections that it could not detect while in safe mode. Also, the free version is for personal use, and I am sure one of the experts can explain that to you, by installing it on all computers in a school environment probably violates the terms of use. I think you would need a corporate edition, they may have a school edition too, but I don't know for sure since I am not on the staff with MBAM. Glad that it helped clean the computer however.

check to see if you have NUM Lock turned on. -
the latest version is 1.44, and if it ask to reboot, you need to reboot so that it can replace any files that it needs that may have been in use.
