MBAM will not affect your torrent file that you are downloading, more than likely you got a movie that was either corrupt or of bad quality. -

@ marktreg, just curious, what was the reg key suppose to do for the CD Rom Drive? -
@ marktreg you are right, I am a professional. @ advancedsetup thanks for those handy links Guys thanks for the help with this issue. Yesterday I was reading through the PC Help seciton and came accross this post Here and it lead me to the site at h**p://winhlp.com/16 that gave me some ideas, and I tried some of the reg fixes, and also recopied the two files taskman.com and taskmgr.exe from a computer that is working and now it is working on the one that was not. So all fixed up. I will keep these tools you mentioned handy though. Thanks agian.

Hello jeffthx, and welcome to Malwarebytes.org First off, you may try to UPDATE to the latest version of Malwarebytes. You are using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.43 with Database version: 3499. The latest version at the moment is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.44 Database version: 3545. Install that first and run another scan and clean, then if that does not work, then follow the below instructions: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someon has replied to your post. Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

with malwarebytes, now my pc is incredibly slow
Firefox replied to mavsnme's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
@ mavsnme Make sure you have the latest Malwarebytes version 1.44 with Database version 3545 is that latest at the moment. Have you entered the exceptions in your Norton to explude the Malwarebytes files? You can also tell it to exclude your Family Tree Maker software. I use Family Tree Maker 2009, and aside from it taking a little bit to load, it does run. (I am however using McAfee Corp Edition 8.7i) the mbamservice.exe on my computer is 44,484. that is about average. -

OK, here is a brain boggleing one, for me at least. I have one computer that I know comes out clean and has no malware on it. Group Policy is not enabled. I can right click the taskbar and click on Task Manager but it never comes up. I can also do Ctrl Alt Del and select task manager but it will not come up either. I have tried enabling the GP for task manager and tested it. It does disable it. I then take the GP out and it is enabled again. But it will not come up. I even copied the file taskman.exe and also taskmgr.exe from another computer and still no go. Any Suggestions of what I can try?

Keyloggers not detected by MBAM
Firefox replied to Loganton4386's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
when I have to use keyloggers, I simply exclude those files for the keylogger on my AV and MBAM... -
@ noknojon when they are out of sequence, I showed 14, and when they are right I show 16. @ AdvancedSetup those steps did not work on the computer I am on right now. CCleaner did not fix it up. I will tell you what I found out though to fix it on this computer. I am using IE8 and it shows messed up with IE8. If I tell IE8 to use compatibility mode on that page, it shows correctly, if I take it back out of compatibility mode, it gets messed up again.

I may get corrected if I am wrong, but that setting in messenger needs to point to your Anti-Virus program. -
General malware info/advise

The firewall alone is not going to prevent you from getting infected. You have to have layered protection. 1. Firewall 2. Antivirus software 3. AntiMalware software Then practice safe surfing and you should be good. -
I bought the extender antennas for my linksys router, and on the other end I have a wireless card with two antennas and it is working just fine, I am actually crossing a street with it too....
