  1. MBAM is excellent, and has got me out of trouble often enough, but it would be even better if it found malware lurking in zip files. I appreciate this would slow down the scan, but (as with Spyware Doctor) you could choose in Setup whether ot not to scan zips, ignore zips over 1MB, 5MB etc.
  2. Can we have an answer to this please: it seems that MBAM does not scan zip files.
  3. MBAM Pro will now detect the exe, but surely it should scan zips as well? Also, it doesn't warn when the exe is extracted from the zip (and I'm not going to run the exe just to see if MBAM stops it then!)
  4. Hello, I'm trying out MBAM Pro in order to find a program which has a good balance of detection and resources use. I received an email with a suspicious attachment (I'll attach it here if you want, but because I'm certain it's a trojan I didn't want to post it without permission.) It's supposedly from DHL, and purports to be a form to arrange redelivery of a parcel, but I just know it's a fake because: - The email has too many exclamation marks - The attachment is a zip file (why not a PDF or a Word doc?) - The zip contains an executable called DHL_Print_Label.exe but it has a Word icon MBAM doesn't complain when I stick the thing into a folder and scan it, nor when I extract the file from the zip. Betcha it's a nasty, though. And yes, I'm using the latest version of the program and the latest updates. Want me to upload it so you can have a shufti? Can I ask something unrelated? Will MBAM Pro automatically scan removable USB drives as soon as they are inserted?
  5. I quite like SD so I'd like to keep it - yes, I know it's heavy on resources but it does catch a lot of scumware. MBAM is considerably lighter on its toes but I'm still getting used to it. Yes, I added the exclusions both to ESS and SD.
  6. I had to disable MBAM and just run it as an on-demand scanner, since it didn't play nicely with Eset and Spyware Doctor. I tried it on two different PCs, each Dell Dimension 9200s (actually one was a 9100) running XP SP3 and IE8.
  7. What is the MBAM command line syntax to use with Windows Live Messenger? Users can set Messenger's options to automatically scan downloaded files for Malware - do I just tell it to use mbam.exe or are there switches to add?
  8. Is the full version of MBAM compatible with Eset Security Suite, and with Spyware Doctor? Thanks in advance
