  1. I am now getting this same error on Windows 7 x 64 with 1.08.1.1039 when attempting to upload a photo to a forum or Facebook when browsing to Desktop.
  2. Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] © Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. 3. Sorry, I should have added ... but it still fails if I navigate to the Desktop. I can reproduce it easily. All I have to do is Attach a file to a reply and when the browse windows opens navigate to Desktop and the MBAE block occurs. (But it doesn't fail for other locations I tried, only fails on Desktop)
  4. Interesting. I did the following: Turn off MBAE Attach an image in a forum response from a different directory (downloads), so resetting the Attach browse directory. Close IE Start MBAE Open IE and repeat the Attach image operation, it works with no alert from MBAE
  5. No, they are in the Downloads folder
  6. c:\documents and settings\john\desktop\Clipboard02.jpg The error occurs before the browser displays the directory, but I turned off MBAE and tried it - it shows Desktop.
  7. Ahhh. It actually happens when I try to attach an image, ie when I click Browse. I originally thought it was the paste because I had just done that prior to adding an image. Yes it is repro.
  8. Thanks. ky331. I usually use Firefox, I was just updating Flash player in IE
  9. VB script error was Internet Explorer, although Firefox was open Fingerprint - pasting text into a reply in Malwarebytes forum using Shift>Insert
  10. I am using 1.08.1.1031 Also getting Security certificate error on Malwarebytes forums (in IE only) (image attached) Also just received MBAE fingerprint exploit error when trying to paste into IE (image attached) Logs attached mbae-service.zip
  11. Windows XP, updating Flash player from Adobe site. IE and Firefox open "VB Scripting engine has been blocked from loading in the browser" No AV Don't know where the logs are kept on XP
  12. Unfortunately this procedure didn't bring up the error
  13. All my accounts are admin. This event occurred when using my local account
  14. I think you have inadvertently supplied some very useful information. It will be interesting to see what Pedro thinks is going on.
  15. Hmmm, well noticed - I missed that. I have the same curious question. It seems that "New member" removed MBAM, not MBAE. If so, does that broaden the focus of this issue? It appears that "New member" needs to reinstall Malwarebytes Antimalware
  16. I just uninstalled from Control Panel - then all the settings were kept and CMD now works. I have tried unsuccessfully to reproduce this by reinstalling the production version, restarting, installing the latest Beta, restarting. This issue initially seemed to occur only on versions of Windows 10 that were upgraded from 7/8 with MBAE installed. I thought that once the error was cleared it wouldn't occur again, so I was surprised to see it after installation of the new Beta..
  17. I corrected it by using the procedure advised previously, but this issue needs to be fixed. Uninstalled MBAE Restarted Installed MBAE
  18. I installed 1.08.1.1031 a couple of days ago on Windows 10 and the first thing I checked was cmd.exe - it worked OK then. But on restart, the old error is back and I have to Stop MBAE protection in order to get cmd to work.
  19. Yes that has fixed it here. However the issue occurred well after the upgrade from Windows 8, suddenly started happening a few days ago, maybe after one of the Windows updates?
  20. Additional Information FRST and MBAE logs PM'd This issue occurs on my Acer laptop which runs the release version of Windows 10. This issue does not occur on my desktop running Windows 10 Insider build 10525, (but that has much less other software on it)
  21. I have just started getting this issue on Windows 10 with iexplore and cmd. Stop MBAE protection and all good. Defender, MBAM Pro, MBAE Pro. iexplore.exe- Application Error -- The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018) cmd.exe- Application Error -- The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)
