  2. Hi, I recently downloaded some harmful software and after using Malwarebytes I removed the majority of it. I have already performed multiple Threat scans using Malware bytes, the first of them removing a large number of malware and other PUPs. However, on startup I get the CMD prompt popping up saying that it's trying to download something similar to the image below. Every 3 hours I got the CMD popping up again. Along with this, Malwarebytes consistently blocks (thankfully) an outward connection(using svchost.exe) as shown in the outward report log. I have attached
  3. I used Zemana antimalware and malwarebytes, browser popups were gone and for a short time cpu usage was also lowered, but after restarting cmd.exe is still opening randomly and sending data.

  5. When I start my PC I get cmd.exe on my screen for a short time doing some task(screenshot1) and I do not know how to solve that, because it wasnt there before I tried to run one Deamon tools image that was probably infected with some virus or something, and I used Malwarebyres AdwCleaner and cleaned all that was in the results but this one (screenshot2) keeps coming up even tho I already cleaned it twice. It says in the notepad with results "Please Reset the Chrome Synchronization before cleaning the Chrome Preferences: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3097271 " and I did it using some

  7. Hello to all, I encountered a problem couple of weeks ago since I realized I couldn't open cmd.exe ( once I open it, it automatically closes). I ran a MalwareBytes scan and found a malware marked as Hijack.AutoRun, in registry value of a Command Processor Specificly: Hijack.AutoRun, HKU\S-1-5-21-2923880554-3555040517-45539607-1001\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\COMMAND PROCESSOR|AUTORUN, No Action By User, [14778], [245417],1.0.3222 So, naturally, I removed the malware and after I restarted my PC, the only thing that showed up is plain cmd.exe window without any background and icons in
  8. I am running a Windows 10 PC. I get an error whenever I try to open command prompt," The application was unable to start correctly(0xc0000142).Click OK to close the application", I have posted about this error on Microsoft support. A member there asked to post about the error here, so as to ask you guy's if there might be any malware which is preventing cmd.exe from starting. It might be a possibility that a unknown program might be stopping it from starting. please help me with this.
  9. Hello, so I heard about Anti Exploit and tried it today to see if I'd like to upgrade to premium. However with this free installation I've noticed something that definitely breaks my setup as I use cmd/powershell a lot. So far this is the only application that I've noticed that is affected. Steps to reproduce this is just starting cmd, either through 'run' or any other way (through powershell works too). You end up with this message: ---------------------------cmd.exe - Application Error---------------------------The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to clo
  10. This computer has proven to be very difficult to clean. Now after throwing a bunch of tools at it, it seems to scan clean. However, there are processes being spawned that make me nervous. As it is running, there are multiple conhost.exe, cmd.exe and reg.exe processes spawned. if I let it run long enough, they take 100% processor and the system becomes unuseable. I wrote a looping batch file to taskkill the reg.exe task and that makes it possible to do some diagnostics. Please help! I have run the following tools: rkill adwcleaner Malwarebytes Rootkit Scanner Malwarebytes Norton Power Er
  11. Hi, installed MB yesterday for the first time, looks good. The scan says: Files: 1Trojan.Agent, C:\Users\Steve\cmd.exe), , [077e50de562586b03aec8703bc46ca36], Is this a false positive? The file contains 0 kb and Microsoft SE and SuperAntiSpyware do not flag the file as harmfull. Not sure why the file name has a ) on the end, this makes me suspicious!! Thanks Steve
