Okay, thanks I'm just trying to figure out what I should use in the future and what I should use/recommend for family and friends in the future as well, seems like AVG isn't as good as I thought it was Right now NOD32 (poked around on the website, looks good so far!), Kaspersky, and Avira look to be the best...

@ TeMerc Thanks!

@ hilander Agreed, and agreed. Did you see the one where House was doing clinic duty and the girl came in with an infection, said she was using jelly trying to prevent pregnancy and held up a jar of strawberry jelly? House basically told her that there was something wrong with her brain haha that one is hilarious.

Hello, and welcome to the forums! Please visit here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7 Paying special attention to the third PINNED topic in the forum: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9573 Read it entirely and then do exactly as it says, as much as you are able to complete. Include in your post exactly what is going on as well as the requested logs. Someone will be along to help you as soon as they are available. I cannot assist you any further than this, but I wanted to point you in the right direction of what you should do next! Good luck! -
@ hilander Hurrah for finding a great deal on eBay I just love deals, I got one on my seasons 1-4 as well. As far as I know, season 5 is going to be released in August: http://www.amazon.com/House-M-D-Season-Hug...3706&sr=8-1 silly me, I had thought that it was already out Maybe I should pre-order it even though its twice what I paid for the each of the other four seasons, the price probably won't drop for quite a while since its not even out yet... People can be crazy crazy... woww that woman.. lol.

I've read about and seen references to NOD32 on here and I know its an antivirus system, but that's about it. I was just wondering if someone could tell me a little more about it and if there is a website that they have that I could poke around on? I did a google search but it didn't come up with much at all.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version 1.38 released
mountaintree16 replied to Swandog46's topic in Malwarebytes News
Please enable your firewall asap if its still off! You simply (as far as I know) need to allow MBAM to the exceptions/allowed list on your firewall. If you think it might be virus related, please visit here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7 -
@ AdvancedSetup Hmm. What's the DNS? How would I get to the DOS console?? Sorry, I am rather completely clueless when it comes to this stuff. The link is to a malwarebytes forum thread, correct? All other links seem to be working fine for me to these threads, not sure what is going on. Glad its just me then and not you.

Hi! First of all, please try not to post in this forum, as its going to be removed shortly (not sure if you saw Marcin's post pinned at the top). Second of all, please go here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7 and read the first and third pinned topics at the top and see if those will help you, especially the first one since you are having trouble with MBAM being able to run completely. Follow all directions! Feel free to make a post describing exactly what is going on in the HJT forum (which is the forum I just gave you a link to) describing EXACTLY what is going on and following any and all steps in the directions that you can. Good luck! I cannot assist you any further than this, but I just wanted to step in here and give you a nudge in the right direction of what to do

@ goldhound You're welcome I too appreciate all of the help of the people here and their work ethic too I can't help very much, but I try to help with what I can if I think I can. Other than that, I make my own posts, read around and learn stuff, and basically just try to become as educated as I possible can about the huge world of computers and the internet, most of which I don't know a whole lot about. I'm glad that you're learning! Me too -

@ goldhound oh man LOL that's rather funny. That's too bad he forgot her name, but I guess the pet names make up for it -
@ yardbird: Thanks for the link That's a little disturbing. I don't completely understand though.. are profiles getting hacked and people are clicking on ads or what? then I saw this link: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/06/01/mp_facebook_hack/ and this one: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/04/28/so...ecurity_perils/ and that was just... ugh! :/
