  1. TeMerc... That's what I originally thought when I seen this suggestion... "How could you forget what type of scan you chose and does it really matter?" But making things easier for the average user is what developing software is about!
  2. I'm trying to see if I understand this correctly... You basically want it to say which scan you selected next to "in progress"? That's a small addition but I guess it makes sense.
  3. @ yardbird- I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you meant it took 6 hours to do a quick scan. I feel better now @ nossirah- What are you running? A super computer?
  4. 6 hours on a quickscan? How old is your computer?
  5. Again, you are on the money Marcin. Quick response with detailed information. Thanks a lot. I just pretty much live here now so I like to read up on the program/threats. I can't wait to see it once it's released. Let me know if you guys ever need help!
  6. Not trying to be a problem child or anything but was just wondering if I was missing something at the "Detection List" page. I know most anti-virus/anti-spyware websites have more in depth descriptions of what each threat actually is and does but all I see is a date when it was first and last seen. I know these other companies have a lot more resources so that may be the cause but was just wondering if it was me. Keith
  7. Long live Packard Hell! I had a P75 Packard Bell. That thing was awful compared to today's standards! Technology has come a long way in 10 years.
  8. Marcin, Don't get overly frustrated with this... The users & technicians of the world know MBAM is a strong product. We support you guys just as much as you support us. Keith
  9. Do you game on that computer as well? A quick google search found this
  10. AH... No problem. I'm not worried about that, as long as you figured it out and it's working! Take care
  11. I don't know the reason why you want to open it but I do not condone messing with hardware inside your computer unless you know what you are doing... With that being said, if you are going to open it, at least make sure the power is off and unplugged from the outlet BEFORE touching or removing anything. In order to open the case, you need to pull that lever on the top of the case in the back and one of the sides should come out. I hope this helps, Keith
  12. I was never panicking but I did want to help confirm that there was an issue. I am confident in the developers around here The issue has been fixed, so thanks guys!
  13. No sense in having multiple threads... this issue is being discussed here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14128
  14. I would love to see both of these requests fulfilled. I often scan individual files and my system with MBAM and do sometimes get annoying with the amount of clicks it takes to get out of MBAM. Also, no need in having a bunch of clean logs in your MBAM log directory, although you could use something like CCleaner to clean out the directory. Keith
  15. I can also confirm this... Date shows as 4/13/2009 but the database version is 1985. Keith
  16. Well... After looking at the folder on UBCD for Windows and comparing it to the Antivir folder on my Vista laptop, the sizes are completely identical. 61.4MB. Same amount of folders and everything... So... What do you suggest? swagger
  17. Just to confirm you are referring to the UBCD for Windows, correct? Seems like a fair amount of work to make it portable I will try this when I get home though. Thanks exile swagger
  18. I agree, MalwareBytes' is great! I would offer this to you though... MalwareBytes' should not be used as your sole protection from malware. I would recommend getting a free anti-virus software such as Avast! or Avira Antivir and use Malwarebytes' to compliment it. swagger
  19. I just tried BitDefender but it seems to be a little bit bloated. Does anyone have any suggestions? Needs to be free, good detection rate, and light on resources. I am currently using ClamWin for my on-demand scanner at work. swagger
  20. Well if you go to Control Panel >> Software Updates... When the window opens, there should be a settings icon near the top right... Click on that icon and the products it is trying to update should show up. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.
  21. Just as an example, on my work computer it updates Roxio and Sonic, but is disabled from starting at boot. Keith
  22. MalwareBytes' is not classified as an anti-virus program... It's an anti-malware program so yes, it will work along side an A/V with no problems.
  23. Yeah, hidden files/folders, protected system files was shown already... I believe it could be related to CDBurnerXP. I think that was the only program that I have installed in the last week or so since my last shutdown/reboot. I understand it's only going to run once but I wanted to make sure that it should run at all. Cause I have never heard of it or seen it before prior to today and that was just by coincidence (checking CCleaner).
  24. I understand... I'm not panic worried as my computer has been up for over a week and I am sure I have installed 2-3 programs that could be related to this entry. Just would like more information on this. No file by that name in the Windows directory.. There is a is-ICDRA.lst and is-ICDRA.msg however.
