  1. Personally no problems on two PCs, one with Windows 10 LTSC and one with Windows 10 November 2019 Update with the latest updates available. But both perform a threat scan daily
  2. The product version can be read on the Malwarebytes Menu -> About Malwarebytes when the application is open The version of the definitions is in the reports. To force the updating of the definitions, click on the M icon in the menu bar -> in the menu that appears choose Update protection I also would prefer that the version number of the product and the version of the definitions were displayed in the main window, but this is unfortunately not the case. I hope I was helpful. Good Evening Massimiliano
  3. Thanks for the confirmation. If yours are the same it means that it is not a problem related to my iPhone. Thanks again.
  4. @treed I still have today the definitions of February 14. Is it normal?
  5. As you can see from the attached screenshot, it is from February 14, 2020 that I have not received updates of the definitions despite having forced the update several times. All this despite the version upgrade that took place today. Is it normal?
  6. I started using Firefox on macOS (I already use it on Windows) as your extension is already present on this browser and because I got to appreciate its privacy settings. Also, having started using DuckDuckGo in place of Google, I wasn't sure that GoogleSafeBrowsing would continue to do its job properly. But I wanted to ask if Malwarebytes Browser Guard also contains features against macOS threats or only as regards Windows threats. I thank as of now who will clarify my ideas. Good afternoon Massimiliano
  7. On a Huawei P8 Lite 2017 with Android 8.1 it worked correctly. It had also happened to my father
  8. Regarding the deactivation of SAFE BROWSING look at this article (Android OS disabling Malwarebytes Safe Browsing Scanner)
  9. I would like to point out that the link to the version history at the bottom of the page does not work on the Malwarebytes for iOS product web page link to the page here's what it looks like
  10. Ok, thanks. Then zero worries, because probably my Mac being a 13" mid 2012 (not Retina display) will not see macOS 10.16. Anyway, I'll find out at WWDC in June
  11. In my personal case, the only two software that have requested kernel extension privacy panel approval are the HP multifunction laser printer drivers and Malwarebytes. From what I understand, the following app should use a system extension and not a kernel extension Firewall - Network Monitor created by Paragon Software GmbH available on the Mac AppStore for free
  12. Thanks for the clarifications. Back then, the 3.x version was already like that
  13. Thanks for your prompt reply but I asked it because, at least on my system, with MWB 4 there is still a KEXT See path: /Library/Application Support/Malwarebytes/MBAM/Kext/MB_MBAM_Protection.kext and installing MWB is a clean install and not an app update
  14. macOS 10.15.4 will deprecate kernel extensions (KEXT) Da macOS 10.15.4 Apple bloccherà le estensioni per il kernel (KEXT) (It's an italian blog article) What will this mean for Malwarebytes and for the users? Thanks
  15. @brcd , do you use CleanMyMac? I ask it because to an acquaintance of mine who had it, the scan lasted two days and as soon as he removed it, the scan was reduced to about 7 minutes with the same system. He has a 2010 i7 macbook pro with 8 GB of RAM and one full 1 TB SSD with HighSierra
  16. Have you already tried to perform the steps contained in this post? How to remove the after-effects of adware I hope I was helpful Good evening Massimiliano
  17. I read this discussion out of curiosity and went to view the proposed links. Malwarebytes home products and macOS compatibility (I attach screen shot now) there is a serious error in fact Mac OSX 10.11 is called EL CAPITAN and not YOSEMITE (for version 4.0.27) I report this as I am aware of the fact that Malwarebytes 4.x requires El Capitan and following I hope I have been helpful A greeting Massimiliano
  18. Try reading this post, if it can help you How to remove the after-effects of adware
  19. Thanks, I hadn't thought of that The other, on the other hand, is a translation error. It is better that PUP is left
  20. Thanks With Malwarebytes 4.0.4.49 and Component package version 1.0.801 the display problem has been solved There is still a translation problem (see the attached screen) PUPs are translated cuccioli. It is the literal translation however in Italian the word cuccioli indicates the little ones of the animals. There is a further display problem during the scan in which, even maximizing the screen, the item of automatic execution elements (at least in Italian) is cut. (See attached screen) I hope the report is useful, sure that the problems will be solved as soon as possible. Thank you Good evening (at least in Italy). Massimiliano
  21. Beta 1.4.4 (1.8) update receveid. Thanks I tried to report three typical Italian numbers, obviously invented, two landline phone numbers and one mobile number and the report worked correctly (at least for Italy). Thanks to @treed , @adas and to all developers. Now I hope it will be released as soon as possible in Italy, perhaps with the calls function still in beta, so that more and more users can contribute to populating the database of Italian telephone numbers. Thanks again Good day Massimiliano
  22. @treed, @alvarnell Can you give me, pending a web protection by Malwarebytes for Safari - or better yet a web protection for macOS (like in MS Windows, so not just an extension) -, an opinion about the Norton Safe Web app downloadable from the Mac AppStore? Link to "Norton Safe Web from Mac AppStore". In your opinion, can it have access to sensitive data such as credit cards, passwords, bank and social security data? Thank you Good weekend Massimiliano
