  1. To update to the latest version of macOS compatible with your Mac, without having the installer, follow How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery A good active internet connection is required You can then install Malwarebytes To check compatibility with the version of macOS that you will be able to install Usage requirements for Malwarebytes for Mac v4 Usage requirements for Malwarebytes for Mac v3 I hope I was helpful Have a nice day Massimiliano
  2. Just installing the Malwarebytes extension on Firefox brings scan times from around 3 seconds to around 20 seconds. It is only a matter of seconds, I know, but in cases of different systems it seems to me not normal that a single extension (produced by you) - I do not have others installed - raises the scan time by 7 times. In my acquaintance's system, it would mean going from 5/6 minutes to 35/40 minutes. Definitely not possible. I hope someone is able to explain this to me and therefore thank you in advance. Good day
  3. Good afternoon I tried Microsoft Safety Scanner because I had used Revo Uninstaller Portable and I had no faith in it but software was corrupted and I was unable to remove it (attempt still failed) In the report I am attaching, it is noted VirTool: Win32 / DefenderTamperingRestore and Removed! Can anyone tell me what is it? Is it possible to check if my PC is still infected? Are there risks in using with Home Banking, Tax? Thanks Attach logs: Malwarebytes_Report.txt mbst-grab-results.zip msert.log
  4. @gatortail help, please! I found WireGuard WINTUN installed on my PC, without doing it myself. I have seen on their site that it relates to networks. Is it by chance a component of Malwarebytese Privacy? I ask it because for a short time I participated in the beta program and I wanted to be sure it was nothing dangerous Thanks
  5. Thanks for the answers, guys. I also think, like you, that MacKeeper will never find a place on my Mac. I hope @treed can confirm what @exile360 has said and that Malwarebytes will always detect MacKeeper as malicious so that Mac users do not take any risks.
  6. I just read this article MacKeeper 4.3 is notarized. Knowing the history of the utility covered in the article, how will Malwarebytes behave from now on in relation to it? @treed what do you think about it at this point? Thanks
  7. Waiting for better advice try to follow this post if the problem persists How to remove the after-effects of adware
  8. THIS IS THE STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE I PERFORMED AFTER I BOOTED THE PC I searched if system and all installed apps updates were available as I use the Windows PC VERY RARELY I opened Malwarebytes from the icon in the system tray. I checked the updates because I wanted to see if more updates than the definitions were available. I ran a threats scan. I viewed the report and saved the screenshots that I posted. I closed Malwarebytes I reopened Malwarebytes. At this point, regarding the report, the word SCAN COMPLETED was present (both in the summary and in the detail) but in the summary there isn't the words NO THREAT DETECTED rather than NUMBER OF THREATS DETECTED. I reiterate what already said in the past: to be complete the summary should contain the status of the scan (COMPLETED/INTERRUPTED/CANCELED) and the total number of threats found as was in Malwarebytes 3.x
  9. I looked now on the dedicated website and noticed how the notification was made and at this point I cannot rule out that it was there. Unfortunately, I had never studied the matter further and I was not aware of how the warning occurred. Unfortunately it is not an easily identifiable warning especially when waiting for the call and therefore it is assumed that it is authentic and therefore less attention is paid. Therefore FEEDBACK: if possible, make a more identifiable notification perhaps with visual signals / audible alarms The risk as the app is set up is that if I had configured not as WARN but as BLOCK I would not have received the APPLE support call that I had requested.
  10. I requested a call from Apple Support via the Dedicated App. I received the call from an Irish number as usual. Looking now in the call history, it is reported, is indicated in place of the name under the number, (the number is obviously not in the address book) as Malwarebytes Known Scammers. No warning reported when the phone rang Call Protection is set to warn. Being an Apple number I can't understand how can be called Known Scammers. The Apple support number used is: +353 (21) 4259200.
  11. Problems with reports continue I attach three screenshot Installed version on my PC Report summary Report detail As you can see in screenshot 2 and 3, no report results appear. Once malwarebytes is closed and reopened, appears the written SCAN COMPLETED (the total number of threats detected in the summary is still missing)
  12. Yes the LEGACY WARNING is still with us and will remain there until the type of Malwarebytes extension is changed. To me after macOS 10.15.4 it appeared on the first reboot and from my experience (I turn off the Mac every evening) it appears only every n days (how many days does n corresponds only Apple knows)
  13. @LiquidTension Attention!! The report to be exhaustive it should report: scan completed or scan deleted the number of threats detected even if it were 0 both information and not just one AS IT WAS IN THE 3.X VERSION
  14. The screenshots were created this morning with Malwarebytes 4.1.0.56 - Component Update 1.0.875
  15. I had reported some time ago (unfortunately I no longer found the post) that in the 4.x version the SCAN COMPLETED rather than SCAN CANCELED item disappeared from the reports I have seen now that you have restored the function and for this I thank you. Unfortunately, the synthetic result has disappeared In my opinion, in the summary screen, if SCAN COMPLETE is displayed, and only in this case, NO THREATS DETECTED or NUMBER OF THREATS DETECTED should also appear so as to synthetically render the result; if SCAN CANCELED is displayed it is fine as it is. I am attaching what the report summary should display if the scan is complete In case of canceled scan it is fine as it is (image follows)
  16. At least 3 Malwarebytes app crashes have occurred in the past 7 days. Twice I shared the in-app feedback and in these cases it occurred during the recall from the stand-by At this moment I received a sound notification and waking up the iPhone from the stand-by I found the notification on the screen and I decided to write this post. Let me know how I can proceed to get you any diagnostic data. It had never happened before I use iOS 13.4.1 iPhone SE Malwarebytes Beta 1.4.5 Call Protection Version 1.0.2020041409 Web Protection Version 1.0.2020032708 Ad Blocker Version 1.0.2020040615
  17. As far as I remember the 3.x version they were always record never record automatically choose whether to record.
