  3. OK here is how I produce the pop-up. Go to hxxp://www.teamviewer.com there click on Join Session Click on Run Click on Run Again it will start the program, put a couple files in the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp folder Then I get the ignore prompt
  4. we were thinking of using it in a corp environment to replace one we are having problems with. We currently use Etrust from CA, but its causing some issues at log-in, and CA cant seem to solve my issue
  5. I use a program called TeamViewer, its used to remote control other computers on the net. It is found at hxxp://www.teamviewer.com. Well they have version 5 out now and when I launch it MBAM gives me this: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp\nsc586.tmp\TvGetVersion.dll Trojan.FakeAlert I click allow and I am able to use my software. Is this a false positive?
  6. anyone heard of this and if so what are you thought or expierances on this product? link is hxxp://www.vipretestdrive.com/
  7. That is great, well done MBAM and congrats on your win, although I think an apology would be nice as well, but I think we all know that they will never do that.
  8. I am not with the MBAM staff, but I know they feel just as I do, and am able to say, You are quite welcome and glad that MBAM was able to solve your problem. Malwarebytes works different than antivirus, and it is a good idea to have both. Antivirus software mostly detects viruses where MBAM detects malware.

  10. just curious, but why is it not updated that often? Is it not just as easy as uploading a new file to the manual update locations?
  11. did that question come from Malwarebytes? I was able to go to that site hxxp://www.mixpod.com/ and did not get any warnings from IP Protection. Are you sure that site is actually 174.36.96.28 ?
  12. First off Russell Cunning, Welcome to the forum.... I am not on the staff, but I just wanted to thank you for those kind words. The folks here at MBAM are great, and their software is by far the best I have found out there as well. These folks wont steer you wrong, and are willing to help you get rid of you spy-ware and viruses even if you don't elect to buy their software, all for free. About the progress bar, it has been discussed here in a few post already. You can look around and find it by doing a search. Anyway it boils down to it being hard to accurately being able to determine how long it will take due to the difference in computers and the number of files it has to scan. Deleting everything (all malware found) immediately could be dangers due to false positives from time to time.

  14. no apology needed, hope they get you all squared away. Be advised they are quite busy in that section so please be patient. If they don't get to you within a couple of days come back and PM one of the admins.....
  15. Well I do not really like acer and gateway. I tend to recommend HP or Dell on prebuild computers, unless you can spend some good $$ and get coustom build one. If you give us some specs we can help you choose between the two.

  17. yes that makes sense. since you are logged in as the admin, I assume you have not added any favorites to that account, so you have the default ones that came with your computer for all users. If the scan for MBAM came up clean then more than likely you are good to go.
  18. Not on staff here, but its great to know your were able to impress your boss and got him all fixed up. Look forward to hearing about your raise. Dont hesitate to ask or come by if you have any further questions.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving to all you members here at Malwarebytes!
  20. It could also be a group policy set up by the admin where everyones homepage is the same. Some companies do that as well as set the users wallpaper too for example.
