  1. The sites mentioned here have just been whitelisted.  The developer -- who is already aware and has committed to an improved version very soon -- is also aware that I am getting ample opportunity to brush up on my typing skills.  Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  2. Because it is happening after login, I would need logs from the user to know more about the cause for the block.  I did not see any issues using standard investigative tools, so I whitelisted the site.  Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  3. Your request has just been forwarded to me for investigation.  I had no previous involvement with this report, so I had no cached history.  Using Browser Guard-enabled Firefox and Chrome browsers, I was able to successfully view randomly chosen videos on the odysee.com website, as well as each video specifically mentioned in this forum post and the other forum post which you mentioned.  I recommend that you follow the advice provided to you recently by @Porthos and also allow a minimum of one minute after doing that before trying to view any videos on your web site.  If database updates are needed to reflect yesterday's dropping of the block, that one minute period should provide ample time.

  4. I was on the site testing with one extension, refreshed the page, swapped extension, refreshed the page, did it again, got a reputation block, refreshed it again, no block.  It should either be blocked or not blocked, but not bouncing between the two.  I whitelisted it to be safe, as I could not see a reason for it to be blocked at all.

  5. The site had a "come and go" reputation block which I encountered while I was studying trackers/ads.  I whitelisted the site and also whitelisted a few trackers because they are essential to site operation and were allowed by other extensions similar to Browser Guard.  Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect.

  6. I was able to get to the bottom of this one.  The bottom line is that this should be fixed in the next release.  Because reality sometimes interferes with the best plans, here is more information.  There are three issues at play here.

    • First, there were two Chromium bugs at the heart of this issue.  One of those bugs remains.
    • Second, there was a bug in Browser Guard with regard to handling of another Chromium bug that has been fixed.  The Browser Guard bug is being handled as we speak.
    • Third is the mechanics involved -- and should there be any issue with the Browser Guard fix -- information you can use to hopefully get around the issue.  Both extensions want to control the name of the downloaded file, and only one can do that ... the most recently installed extension.  If you don't like the name that Browser Guard uses, uninstall both extensions, then install Browser Guard followed by the other extension.  If I were you, I would wait until you know whether the next release solves your issue or just gave me some typing practice.

    I hope this helps!

  7. I had you do that experiment because I was running out of hair to pull out, and consulted with the developer.  There is a bug that causes the cached database to not be respected.  You verified that you are affected by it.  The next Browser Guard release will fix that.  It is due out later this week.

  8. Can we try something?  Click the "Check for updates" button.  Allow it to do its thing (likely one minute or so).  When it is done, DO NOT close the browser.  Instead, open a new tab and try navigating to your website again.  Let me know if it works.  Fingers crossed!

  9. I just went to the website and clicked the "Get Involved" link, using Browser Guard-enabled Firefox and Chrome browsers, and did not encounter any errors.  Try dumping your browser cache to see if that changes your results.  For reference, Malwarebytes 4 is our premium product.  Browser Guard is a web extension that protects you from various threats as well as trackers which invade your privacy.  They are two separate products.
