  1. Hey, there are some NICE Porche's out there, and I loved the first car I really drove, it was a 240 Volvo, and yeah, I suppose it was odd looking
  2. That would be fantastic. I'd like to see Malwarebytes at Staples too someday if it's possible.
  3. Thanks, you too! Happy Halloween everyone!
  4. Thank you Screen317 & Exile360 for the clarification Very helpful information!
  5. Thanks for the clarification. Well that just sucks. I know Java installs an extension on FX for it's usage. Other than that I don't use extensions and I don't even have Java installed anymore on my machine. I am really liking Opera too -- been using it a lot lately.
  6. Thanks I just want to make sure that I am understanding you correctly. The security risk with extensions, then, is that a malicious website could potentially install an extension even if you have turned off extensions?
  7. Thanks for the clarification! So basically the issue at hand here is that once an extension is installed it is always turned on, and you can't disable it at will or??
  8. Would you have to use/enable the extensions though, GT?
  9. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, Nosirrah & Exile or anyone else, but to answer your question IDK, you CAN manually scan a file that you've downloaded. HOWEVER, the heuristics will NOT be functional with a manual scan on an individual file or folder.
  10. I agree, HostsMan + Mbam + A good AV program = a very safe online experience (obviously not 100% foolproof though). Shy's suggestion of Finjan would be a good idea to have as well Also VERY IMPORTANT -- keeping 3rd party plugins up to date (Adobe Flash, Reader, Java, QuickTime etc...), Keeping Windows up to date... basically keeping things up to date is a MUST
  11. Please read this article: How do I reset the Hosts file back to the default? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 Let us know if you have any questions!
  12. Please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page when replying I agree, Kaspersky is great. Well you should be using an AntiVirus, it also protects against exploits, malcious scripts, etc... not just viruses
  13. Cheers Malwarebytes is awesome and I will never go without it again The folks at Malwarebytes are an awesome bunch to boot Don't forget though that Malwarebytes is not an AntiVirus, you still need to use an AntiVirus program with it.
  14. Malwarebytes in realtime is super awesome It's definitely a good choice to invest in it!
  15. I'm glad that you were able to figure this out!!!
  16. It could be perhaps because the account is still technically active on the other machine? Is there any way to possibly delete the account off the old computer, or is it completely dead? What I mean is did you have Thunderbird for the email in question on the old computer? If so, this MIGHT be the reason you are having this problem. Check out their support page, and feel free to ask a question on there if you don't find any answers http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/support/
