  1. Nathaniel, Please check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandbox_%28computer_security%29
  2. Avira is goood I wonder if Comodo just isn't detecting items in the situation you are talking about... sounds like it
  3. I would recommend Avira, MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials), or Avast! for free. If you are looking for paid, Kaspersky, Avira, and ESET NOD32 would all be great choices. I can give you download links as well if you would like for any of the above
  4. Well said and I agree, Exile A layered approach is excellent, and I believe is better than an all-in-one solution.
  5. I would like to wish all of those that are celebrating today, a very Safe and Happy Thanksgiving

  7. You do not need to uninstall the free version to begin using the paid version, you will simply register the free version with the ID and Key that you you will receive when you purchase Malwarebytes. (The free and the paid version are the same download). What AV are you running?
  8. I think it's already been posted here before, but always kinda funny
  9. Hello and welcome! Enjoy your stay here
  10. I know HTML coding so BB is pretty easy for me, although I am kinda lazy on here; I just choose stuff from the text editor above in the text box
  11. This forum uses BBcode. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...amp;CODE=bbcode
  12. That would be really nice though
  13. Cool idea I guess but I prefer to just connect my trusty 4-year-old Nikon digital camera to my computer and pull the pictures off that way.
  14. I had suggested something similar a while back too http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...st&p=323435
  15. Thank you for the clarification, Jack, and Firefox for your confirmation on his clarification. I apologize for my misunderstanding. My earlier posts in this thread may be removed if deemed necessary.
  16. I didn't necessarily mean a free license coupon, just an information card or something about Malwarebytes. Yeah, I definitely agree that manufacturers should better explain the reason why people need to have an AV product... It's been a while since I've had a new computer... the AV that usually comes with them isn't already activated? For some reason I thought it was, but sounds like that isn't the case, at least not anymore. Shame, at least if it was already activated a notice would pop up when it was almost up so people would know they need to subscribe to that or get something else so they will remain protected. I know that when MS detects NO AV on a computer, it will have Windows Security Alert come up and then you will get a list of AV's to choose from, but its a shame that that list only seems to be provided only after no AV is detected on the machine
  17. @sjpritch25 True, it might not be such a good idea, you do bring up a valid point. Many people get really annoyed with added stuff on their machines as it is. Maybe a card with information about Malwarebytes and where to download it included with new PC Purchases would be a better alternative if this was to ever happen.
  18. Thanks Ron, I'll check it out!
  19. :) That's not why I want it, LOL, I just like making pictures different... They had some cool effects, sketch-style, blocks, blur, etc... really cool. I'm sure its gotten a lot better since I last used it 7 years ago but I wouldn't know because I haven't used it since 7 years ago LOL
