  1. If there is something that you cannot or are not sure how to do, just complete as much as you can. In your post, also just write what step(s) you were unable to complete and why, and when someone replies, your helper may have an alternative way to do it or may have you do something else. If you mean zipping up the file in question, right-click on it, and choose Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  2. You're welcome Kelly You can go ahead and post in the False Positive (FP) section if you want, and if it is NOT a FP, whomever replies to you will let you know that, and then you can get your computer checked out as I outlined above. Or you can just go ahead and get it checked out first, which is what I would do at this point if it were my computer. Good luck and safe computing!
  3. Thanks Buttons I didn't realize that because I haven't had Java installed for quite a while now so I wasn't sure if the location was normal or not. What Buttons means by getting your system checked Kelly is the following: Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless it's been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help. If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you. Also, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page, as this makes the forum easier to read. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. Thank you
  4. Hi Kelly, Please read here first and then post here Thank you and good luck
  5. Same exact thing happened today I've just re-enabled it again, but I am worried this might happen at every bootup since it happened two days in a row.
  6. I'm just saying that if someone replies to your topic there first (or here) and then someone else replies here (or there) and if you were following advice from both, and did not tell each person that you were receiving help elsewhere, that can cause confusion for all parties involved plus you could also damage your system. It also ties up someone at one of the sites that could be helping someone else if you are posting in two places. Does that make sense? The official Malwarebytes site & forum (which this site of course is) is probably the best place to come for this since the detections in question were made with Malwarebytes. However, both Bleeping Computer and Malwarebytes offer excellent help in malware removal Good luck! P.S Please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page.
  7. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic364992.html You should only post your question in ONE forum at a time, if you get replies/help from more than one person at more than one forum, that can cause issues for both you and the person that is helping you. That being said, Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. 8. Eh, I don't think it sounds rogue-ish. It does not have the appearance of a knock-off of a legit software program whatsoever, isn't misspelled/has misspellings/poor grammar everywhere, or any of the other weird/off things that you usually find on rogue sites or on rogues themselves. However, testimonials and/or awards would definitely be a good thing on the site I think
  9. This is one of the reasons that I really like Malwarebytes.
  10. I use iTunes too, and I've never had any problems between it and Malwarebytes. However, I will go to the store next time I am on my machine and see if this happens to me. I don't think I've used the iTunes store since before I upgraded to 1.50 though. If I run into anything, I'll be sure to post back here and try what Exile suggested
  11. Thanks Exile! I'll let you guys know if it happens again. No biggie, I just wanted to report it. I hate losing my Mbam realtime protection, even if it's just for a few minutes
  12. Please read here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...st&p=355194 I am not sure what that file is or what it did, though.
  13. Ughh. I believe there are special wallets that can make that technology useless, at least last I read about a year ago. (It is also mentioned in the video). I try not to carry cards on me unless I need to use them that day or think I might need to use them. Almost done watching the video (and I have passed along the link). That symbol at the end... I think that they should just stop making cards that are scan-able with the RFID technology. Convenient, yeah, worth the saved 5-10 seconds vs swiping through a standard reader? No.
  14. Fresh bootup, and I got that error at startup. My protection module was disabled as a result. I re-checked enable protection and it's fine now, but just wondering what could have made this happen? Here is my protection log: Please let me know if any other information is needed
  15. I like Vista too Exile, although I doubt I'll have my own, new computer will be W7 or whatevers after, depending on when we get one @Buttons Yeah. I was disappointed. If only I had known... eh well. I got very good at reformatting that computer though, lol.
  16. Yeah, it did. Well it was 8-10 or more years ago now...
  17. You're welcome! Hehe. Of course :( I wish I'd known how to do a clean install when our Windows 95 came with a free upgrade to Windows 98 (we got it just before or after Windows 98 came out I think), because I'd always upgrade it to Windows 98 and I'd have to go back to Windows 95 and reinstall everything... installing and using Windows 98 never worked quite right every time I tried to install it Which I now realize is most likely because no clean-install was done :)
  18. Yay! Have a super-duper-uber-awesome time with it
  19. I will always be a customer too. The lifetime license is awesome and I really appreciate that. I would be willing to pay an annual fee, though of course, if that was to ever happen.
