Taught since I was very young to do these things and they've always stuck with me, that's why they are second nature now, instead of having to think about it.

hehe this took me by surprise too, I went to open Mbam via the desktop shortcut to run a scan and instead was greeted with an update message All is well so far

Most programs download a setup file instead of installing the program right away. Unless of course you use IE to download the program, some programs you can choose "run" instead of "Save" and that usually starts opening the setup to install it right away.

Changing it would be cool, but honestly it does not matter to me. I'd rather be protected by one of the best anti-malware software programs available than have a pretty interface.
