  1. @ AdvancedSetup Thanks for the confirmation! I've never even heard of it till this post, I wonder where it came from and why its even in the FF add-ons list :/
  2. Thanks Exile edit: I see that Avast has a version for Mac
  3. @ Exile I'm sorry, I must've missed that listing on the MajorGeeks link you gave me, sorry. I have it bookmarked, though. Oh, I didn't know that Norton made a MAC AV. That's cool Hopefully Kaspersky will come out with their version, eventually.
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that, and then I went on to read the other stuff on those pages
  5. Thanks Exile That will make for some good reading.
  6. @ Chimpy You're welcome. I am sorry I wasn't more helpful, though. I have no idea what this add-on is. Only windows thing I have on my add-ons is Windows Media Player Dynamic Link Library.
  7. Thanks for the update, Roddy32 Edit: Mine updated just fine now.
  8. @ Chimpy I don't have that add-on, no. That's a strange thing to happen, I hope someone might know what's going on.
  9. Thanks Swagger PS. That's pretty old EDIT: Now I'm reading about different OS's
  10. @ yardbird (or anyone who might know) How old is Win 3.1?
  11. Hello yitzhak and welcome to the forum! Please re-post what you said in this post here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...ew_post&f=7 along with any other important details you can think of! Note: The HJT forum gets many requests a day, so please be patient. If no one has gotten back to you within 48 hours, feel free to reply to your post to "bump" it up.
  12. @ Exile Not a huge fan either, but its good that they offer for both OS's I Googled the antivirus name and found a download.com / cnet link so I figured it was probably legit. I was on the Apple website last night and they say that they have some built in features to help against viruses and malware, and while they say that they are 100% immune from PC designed viruses/malware, they do say that no system is completely immune from infection. I also found on their site, if its correct, that McAfee has been having a product for Mac since 2007. I'll do a little more investigating soon, but I'm off to a decent start, anyway
  13. Thanks for that link, Catscomputer
  14. @ Manda To add onto what Firefox said: The logs that are talked about are Notepad files that pop up once a scan is completed. This is what you'll need to copy and paste into your post if and when you post in the HJT forum
  15. @ Firefox Well I definitely appreciate the alert, and I figured you already knew it was a scam. A system admin would not contact a user with a message like that anyway. I mean really. yeesh. Someone posted a link in the security alerts about TrendMicro alerts to a similar email scan, you might want to go over and take a look at it. http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=27805
  16. @ OmniDan I believe that this has been resolved (referring to your link to the mbam topic in the form). Maybe a silly question, but did you read through the entire thread? Personally, this conflict didn't happen to me, but I know it did happen to some other users. Edit: I was just re-reading the topic, and it looks as though the original poster never got back to us on the final status, but more likely than not its been resolved.
  17. @ OmniDan I use AVG and Malwarebytes together, with no exclusions put into AVG for MBAM as of yet, and I haven't had any conflicts whatsoever.
  18. @ Firefox Thanks for the response I'll do a search on it and see what I find.
  19. @ swagger Thanks for the clarification That's what I thought.
  20. @ mona thank you for the link, I'll check it out later on when I have a chance
