  1. are people bothered by vista's admin account? everytime you download a program to install it says you need to go into your admin side to install it and all of these annoying logging to your admin account popups whenever you want to add something to your computer. Does anyone use a standard account and do all these steps whenever they want to change or add something to there computer?
  2. i know malware can come from anywhere. Im asking whats the difference between having an infected program compared to having infected media videos, music, pictures if anyone knows
  3. yes but if you have a infected program, or music, video, picture file would it only be active when its open or is it active all the time. does each type of format carry a different type of infection. If you have a infect program does that mean it would carny spyware. If you have a effected video or music file or picture doe that mean its carrying malware that slow's down you pc but doesnt have spyware is that how it works for the most part
  4. whats the difference between malware/viruses in a picture or video or music file-media malware/viruses in a program-software malware/viruses just by surfing the net-browsing is there any difference?
  5. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=39766 i have a pic there. Mbam says its a trojan
  6. yes autorun. Ill post what i can get when i get back today on my computer
  7. i have it on my laptop and multiple av's that i have alerted me that its malware. Hitman pro first alerted me its malware and i thought its just a false positive but adaware also alerted me that its malware so since more than i security app has alerted me this. Does it mean that its malware and i should remove it? the name of the program is called ac elements myusbonly. Its a usb blocker that blocks unauthorized use of the usb ports
  8. is the only difference between a full and quick scan that a quick scan doesnt scan files bigger than 20mb's?

  10. catscomputer you might also also want to try ixquick search
  11. i see exile, that kinda sucks since google.com has so many features compared to other search engines So what in the world is the default search option for in web browsers then under options? If i put scroogle as my default search through options but use google.com to search then as you said im still using google so ill be using it by their terms. So whats the point of the default search through options that every web browser has?
  12. oh really thats cool, so i can change my default search engine to say ixquick and use google.com to search for stuff and there won't be any privacy issues?
  13. ok this is alittle confusing. Say i wanted to use bing or scroogle for that matter because of the privacy matters. Would i have to change my default search engine from options as scroogle or bing or will just going to scroogle.com or bing.com but enough?
  14. yes i have heard, i wasnt into software untill just recently so i never knew but i heard they were really good back in 2001 and then they cared more about marketing. I still like ad-aware even though i heard about that. Their scanner catches things malwarebytes and avast and others haven't caught and vice-versa
