Hi All

Just downloaded and reinstalled in my desktop P.C running XP PRO SP 2...

and got the same error, I tried to shut down Spysweeper with no results, 'cause I thought there is a conflict with Webroot sw..

I do not know, maybe some conflicts with other software ;) B)

anyway Malwarebytes ' Anti-Malware real protection module perfectly works in my notebook running XP HOME SP 2,

and in both computers has a very fast and accurate scanning :)

Thank you

Uninstalled the previous one without problems and installed version 1.00. Install went smoothly. Scan are fast as usually.

I also have SUPERAntiSpyware 4.0 beta installed with realtime monitoring on. When I tested the version one monitor it crashes when the Superantispyware realtime monitor is on, but works when it is turned off. I have some screenshots of the error messages, but I do not know how to upload them.

Hi 2Ton ;).

Personally I think it is a unwise move to have the guard features(real time protection) of multiple anti-spyware applications running consecutively. As you have found out it caused a instability/system conflict plus always the chance of actually lessening online protection if each monitoring feature is trying to perform the same task. I have SAS myself and just keep it as a on-demand scanner.

I use the below method myself for uploading screenshots:

  • Create a account with photobucket.

  • Upload a image from your computer to the created photobucket account.

  • Insert the image code directly or use the 'Insert Image' tab here in the 'Add Reply' window tabexample.gif.

Example of the code would be:

I had updated to first release from the prerelease version and then saw you wanted a clean install. This morning I was going to install from the MG download and when I did the uninstall got the error message in screen shot. It did uninstall with repeated 'OK' clicks on the error message.post-1030-1201101723_thumb.png

Since registering MBAM, I've noticed that every time I receive a database update, Windows Defender will pick up on the MBAM service and driver (requesting I re-approve/deny them). Is this normal (for database updates)?

I'm also wondering: having enabled protection, MBAM is automatically starting up with Windows. Yet, this startup was not deteced/acknowledged by any of my usual detectors: Windows Defender, SpyBot's TeaTimer, nor WinPatrol. Without asking you to reveal anything you want to keep confidential, I guess this is some kind of security feature... to keep MBAM's startup from being detected by malware??? P.S. If this question/comment is too-revealing, please feel free to suppress it.

ky331,

We will look into the driver issue, thanks!. As for your other question, it is not a secret at all. mbamservice.exe registers itself as a service using the proper protocol and sets itself as an autostart service. If you use HijackThis, you will see mbamservice as an entry.

We are still fixing tons of little bugs ;).

Marcin,

Congratulations on the release.

I have run a quick scan on a Vista Home Premium machine with Intel Dual Core 6400 @ 2.13Mhz processors, no concerns about CPU usage. ;)

@Dakeyras

I do not usually do that myself, but I was testing if Malwarebytes' Anti-malware behave well with others. Other anti-malware apps I had installed in the past could exist well with SAS or with each other without apparent conflict or not being able to start, then it was my choice to disable their realtime monitoring. Here are the error screens:
