Reset to I.E. 7 (just for now) - Will try "8" tomorrow -

Getting those others now -

EDIT -

I assume you meant to turn them ON - That is what I did -

All seems OK - If nearly done - It is 330 AM - I'm a day person and "she" yells if she hears too much K/board stuf

;)<_<

Oh, ok. Does IE7 display the same behavior? If so, then it could be an issue with IE8's caching feature that it uses (similar to that of Firefox) where it remembers the pages you've visited in your various tabs to open them again should the browser crash or you accidentally close it when you only meant to close a single tab.

So IE8\7 is working correctly now? Excellent <_< .

Now I just need that manufacturer name and model # for your monitor and we can try to fix that issue ;) .

Alright, I found the manual online and it says the appropriate settings should be 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz.. To verify these settings open the NVIDIA control panel, accessible by either right-clicking on your desktop background or in their tray icon (the little green eye with a squiggle). Check the display resolution and make sure it is set to 1280 x 1024 and verify that the refresh rate is set to 60 Hz.

Let me know if this helps or not or if you have any questions.

Thanks <_<

It seems that is the setting now -

I will leave it at that and I might just alter the EVGA a bit -

Can't see screen now <_< - Just me - Ha - It is ok for now -

IE8 may have been a bit of the problem , but it seems better now -

EDIT-

Anything - Going , Going - Wait a min -

Joking

Have you tried the monitor with a different PC? If it's older it is possible that it's starting to fail as I've seen similar problems with LCD's I've owned when they started to age.

I'm glad the IE issue is resolved at least, and now you've got a slightly faster PC with less junk on the box, that's always a plus <_< .

Once you get everything adjusted correctly in the NVIDIA driver settings, go ahead and press button 2 once on your monitor to see if it helps things. This is the Auto-Adjust button and will enable the monitor to refresh and re-detect its settings. If it doesn't help you can also go into the monitor's own settings as documented in the manual here and play with things a bit, just be careful and remember button 2 should you make an adjustment that renders your screen blank or unreadable as it will reset it back to defaults.

Let me know how it all works out.

Thanks ;)

I reset the screen colors and other stuff , now the picture is clearer , sharper even though some dark black writing (like on the forum) is a bit <_< ~ colored it is clearer - That is (I think) only because I lifted the settings a touch higher than normal -

I think we have got the autoruns items cleaned as good as we can - ;) - Still trying to remove some of the items AdvancedSetup picked , and I will over the next few days -

Thank you for all the help with cleanup etc :D -

Please delete your current copy of DDS and download and run a new one. It was recently updated again.

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt

  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop

  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt

(Zipped due to forum topic and area -)

EDIT -

I think Limewire has been deleted ?

Just realised I did not disconnect from I/net to run DDS -

Low/lack of some good vision controls may also be due to age of screen - As per exile360 -
