Updates not working for me

It seems there is an HTTP error 400...

Admins need to stop making excuses and fix the update issue. This is day 3 and there are hundreds of posts in different forums about the update problem. Telling people to uninstall and reinstall (which does not work) is not an acceptable solution. We paid money for this software and it's not working, potentially exposing our computers to vulnerabilities because of your inability to address the issue promptly. This needs to be fixed immediately...

I find it laughable that the first course of action from tech support is to uninstall and reinstall the software. What a waste of time.  I paid good money for this program and it seems nearly every week there is a new problem to deal with. Either get your act together or issue me a refund.

Because in most cases it is a proven solution to most problems if it is done fully step by step.

And depending on what OTHER security/blocking software is on the computer makes a difference if there are issues or not.

My personal experience is to use only MB and ONE AV program with providing mutual exclusions and the Windows firewall. Many of the logs I see have all kinds of other products installed in addition that are active protections or block certain types of activities.

If you try to update without license with the free version it works, but if you try to update with license it doesn't.

I was not directing this to any one in general. it WAS A GENERAL observation based on my PERSONAL experience with the program.

Comes up the same way for me on a fully functional MB instillation When I get a chance later today  I will test it on a computer without MB.

As soon as I enter the License-ID and License-Key the Update no longer works!

I think I have found a solution:
Completely uninstall the current version of mbam clean tool
Pure installation and trial premium activation, then update components (should work, helped me)
Only activate the full version.
I checked the CU4 version
3.0.6.1469
1.0.96
1.0.1.1594

@shote1369 by chance, have you edited your HOSTS file? If you have, or you're unsure, can you please copy your HOSTS file from C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS to your desktop and then upload it here so we can take a look? We have found that resetting this file works for most people. Instructions for that can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/972034/how-can-i-reset-the-hosts-file-back-to-the-default

If that doesn't help, many users are reporting that fully uninstalling their installed version of Malwarebytes and installing the latest version is solving the issue as well.
