Everything looks good with the exception of the scroll bar for the entire page for long code, as well as the text still appending to the link when posting an external link.

@AlexSmith @msherwood There we go.  Posting external links without any other tagging still appends text after into the URL.

Actually, I did not use raw BBCode, I used the codes (buttons) available from the menu at the top pf the message composition window.

The only thing not related to that was copying an external URL from another tab and pasting it into the composition window, and then typing additional text after the URL.

If you would like, I can compose raw BBCode as well and then post it in here as a second test and include the raw code wrapped in code tags.

OK, will do.  Michael told me you were already doing one, so I went with the menu options only, but I am sure I can dig some stuff up and paste it.

Give me some time for this, I am probably going to troll through old posts of mine at other forums for the test, particularly those that allow direct BBCode editing.

@AlexSmith & @msherwood - I did see something interesting.  When entering post in raw BBCode, after pasting a new message pops up at the bottom of the composition window, more in the form of a banner, stating that I had entered text that was formatted, and asking me if I wanted to remove the formatting.

For example, entering the following text:

Underline	[u]text[/u]
Strikethrough	[s]text[/s]
Fixed	[f]text[/f]

I did not even notice it before.  In the previous post the IMG tag gets parsed into a different codeset.  It still works, and if you post the old BBCode style it auto-parses it to the new style and displays the image.

[    img    ]{path to image}[    /img    ] (sans underlines) gets parsed to the following:

OK, new test.  So, here goes.  I'm only posting the speeches themselves in regular post format, not in code format.  The code format is available to all staff already, so no need to duplicate it.  In the interest of space, I'm doing the oldest first.

Backup the Registry:Modifying the Registry can create unforeseen problems, so it's always wise to create a backup before doing so.

  • Please download ERUNT from one of the following links: Link1 | Link2 | Link3
  • ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) is a free program that allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed.
  • Double click on erunt-setup.exe to Install ERUNT by following the prompts.
  • NOTE: Do not choose to allow ERUNT to add an Entry to the Startup folder. Click NO.
  • Start ERUNT either by double clicking on the desktop icon or choosing to start the program at the end of the setup process.
  • Choose a location for the backup.
    • Note: the default location is C:\Windows\ERDNT which is acceptable.
  • Make sure that at least the first two check boxes are selected.
  • Click on OK
  • Then click on YES to create the folder.
  • Note: if it is necessary to restore the registry, open the backup folder and start ERDNT.exe

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit from here


  • Unzip the contents to a folder in a convenient location.


  • Open the folder where the contents were unzipped and run mbar.exe


  • Follow the instructions in the wizard to update and allow the program to scan your computer for threats.


  • Click on the Cleanup button to remove any threats and reboot if prompted to do so.


  • Wait while the system shuts down and the cleanup process is performed.


  • Perform another scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit to verify that no threats remain. If they do, then click Cleanup once more and repeat the process.


  • When done, please post the two logs produced they will be in the MBAR folder... mbar-log.txt and system-log.txt

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.


  • Shutdown your antivirus to avoid any conflicts.


  • Right click over JRT.exe and select Run as administrator on Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click on XP.


  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.


  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete.


  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.


  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next reply message


  • When completed make sure to re-enable your antivirus

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode to your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • If prompted by the User Account Control click Yes to allow it to run.
  • Under Actions click on the Scan button.
  • Click OK on all prompts.
  • A text file will open after the scan.
  • Please post the entire contents of that logfile to your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt where the number in brackets indicates how often it was run.

  Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode to your desktop.

  • Under Actions click on the Delete button.
  • Click OK on all prompts.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the entire contents of that logfile to your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt where the number in brackets indicates how often it was run.
