Dannalu Posted May 18, 2015 ID:963455 Share Posted May 18, 2015 My husband recently got hit was a virus that spammed his computer with a bunch of crap. I ran several programs, including the trial of malewarebytes. After two nights, I thought everything was cleared off. Today however, he is watching a streamer on twitch, and he keeps getting these audio ads. They are not from the streamer, and no clue why he is getting them. I downloaded Adblockplus hoping that would assist and it hasnt. Would really like to know what is going on. When it just happened last, he got a notification that a website was blocked by malwarebytes. However, he never clicked on a link or did anything but watch the streamer. Is there another potential virus that malewarebytes isnt catching? Can anyone give me some assistance in helping figure this out? its almost unbearable to watch anyone on twitch now. Sitting here for a time, ive realized the ads are being played no matter what, and after starting the task manager, it says thats its internet explorer is where they are being used. however i uninstalled IE a while back, and can find nothing using the search bar that implies his pc still has IE. Dannalu Posted May 18, 2015 Author ID:963575 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Also, This morning after searching for what might be using ie, i went to control panel, there was a program that was downloaded yesterday called adtasup publisher-rynycon. after doing a google search, from my machine, i have found nothing about this so I uninstalled this program.
