  1. I restarted the system again and all is working again. I am running in to this problem consistently with customers with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 and 14 and 14 MP1. Seems to all be tied to AntiExploit when Programs will not run as well Web and Malware protection not starting up. I tried running mbamservice_crash.bet again after the restart and it will not supply a dmp file.
  2. My protection would not start again after system restarted after windows updates. I cannot get the mbamservice_crash.bat to give me a dump file that is #4 under Procdump zip file. I waited 5 minutes. I did get a dump file from running mbam_memory.bat and attached here. Not sure what to do next but I had to turn Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit protection OFF again in order to open chrome browser. This is definately some bad interplay between Symantec Endpoint Protection14 and MBAM - I will now reboot my system again to see if everything start normally this time. What is next? mbam.exe_170613_210301.dmp
  3. Just updated to: MBAM Version 3.1.2.1733 Component Version 1.0.141 Update package 1.0.2115 as I was having bad problems not being to open Word and Chrome and Adobe. Had to install 2 times to get it to take. Do you want me to still run the process above ?? Also do I just run it when everything is working or when I run in to the problem ?? Thanks, Rich
  4. I am experiencing the same issue in both Windows 10 Pro as well as Windows 7 Pro. 64bit MBAM Version 3.1.2.1733 Component Version 1.0.122 Update package 1.0.2108 I have seen this on multiple clients with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 or 14 or 14MP1 I am guessing it hangs after the automated scans runs at some point. What happens is I can no longer Open MBAM 3.1.2 although it is still running - The Program box will not come up. I then have opened services.msc on both Windows 10 and Windows 7 and the Service will not Stop, I have tried restarting the Service or just stopping it and it gets hung stopping. The only way is to restart the computer to get everything unlocked. This is happening on multiple machines with Windows 7 and Windows 10 and Symantec installed. It seems to work for a few days and everything is fine then decides to not allow you to open the program anymore. I have also tried Right Clicking on the MBAM Tray ICON which goes away but then locks up the service again trying to STOP. Any Ideas ?? Thanks
  5. Try going in to the Malwarebytes AntiExploit Software Not sure on Business Version but try to find Settings\Protection and click on Manage Protected Applications and turn OFF protection for any applications you cannot run. This is the only thing that worked for me on System with Symantec Endpoint Protection.(Version 14 and 14 MP1) We could not get Chrome, Firefox, or Adobe Acrobat Reader to run. This change is the work around until they release update.
  6. OK But the issue also show up for Firefox and Adobe Reader, both of those applications need to be added to NO Exploit protection for MB3 as well or they will not run.
  7. The other important thing to note about this issue is either Symantec Endpoint Protection or other Norton Products installed at the same time seems to add. I have multiple computers with the same issue and we have SEP 14.1 MP1, SEP 12.1.6 MP5, Norton 360 etc... If I uninstall SEP it clears up the issue in some cases but not all and of course Windows defender does not come back online either at is sees MalwareBytes as the current AV, I uninstalled that as well and Defender still did not come online, I also tweaked malware byte to NOT register with Action Center when I re-installed MBAM and Defender still would not come online so I put SEP back on so I would have something and turned back of Anti-Exploit for the 3 apps.
  8. Hopefully you are holding off the 1.0.96 auto update until this is fixed. I am going to get hundreds of calls for support from my customers who I have pushed to install MBAM. I appreciate how hard it is to do what you guys do with everything changing all the time but how can an issue like this get through quality control that affects Chrome, Firefox, and Adobe Reader and those are only the ones I know about. What else can I do to help ??
  9. OK, I updated to this latest version on my Windows 10 machine and now Chrome and Firefox and Adobe Reader have stopped working and will only work if I turn Anti-Exploit protection OFF for each of those apps. I deactivated, uninstalled, ran MB-clean, with reboots in between all step, reinstalled and reactivated and still having the same problem. I was asked to start a new topic and include all of these logs that I attached. Please advise. Thanks FRST.txt logs.zip MB-CheckResult.txt Addition.txt
  10. Also Adobe Reader has stopped working. If I turn OFF Exploit protection for Chrome, Firefox, and Adobe Reader they start to work again.
  11. Having same issue with Firefox, Chrome and Adobe Reader, if I disable those apps in Anti-Exploit protection they start to work again. The 1096 update has problems.
  12. I am having the same issue with Chrome and Firefox, IE and Edge are working. I uninstalled, used mbam-clean, reinstalled and still the same issue. If I turn Exploit protection off they both work.
  13. OK, I updated to this version on my Windows 10 machine and now Chrome and Firefox have stopped working and will only work if I turn Anti-Exploit protection OFF or quit Malwarebytes.. What is going on ??
  14. OK, So I have been testing the BETA since last week and so far so good on the Windows 7 machine. IT has not crashed again since and was doing so every time it auto scanned. When will this be released so I can install on our other affected machines or should I go ahead and install the BETA on them ? Also will there be an easy "in APP" upgrade for this (ie.. clicking the "Install Application updates" button) or better yet auto update ? Let us know. Thanks
  15. I just added all those exceptions. The strange thing is it runs for a couple days without issue then just seems to lock up and only a reboot can get MBAM "unlocked" Would like to know what they found and what the planned fix is that dcollins was eluding to above.
  16. Having same issue here consistently with Windows 7 and Symantec Endpoint Protection 14. Cannot quit Malware or end the process (says I do not have permission). Any update on a fix for this hanging ?? Thanks
