  1. I am sure one of the experts will jump in here, but I dont think that Malwarebytes will work right on a Server OS.
  2. I installed the beta v1.44 on 3 different computers that were having the issue. So far so good, it is stable and has been running stable for at least several hours.... Thanks for the fix.... Now I dont have to restart so much....
  3. OK results: memory log of mbamservice service: 11:07 PM 43,912 11:10 PM 44,016 11:10 PM 44,020 11:11 PM 44,024 it seems to be creeping up again by 4K every few seconds 11:22 PM 44,660 11:22 PM 44,664 11:23 PM 44,668 still creeping up... So the above fix did not seem to work at all, at least on my system.... going to undo the changes now....
  4. do you have any other programs open that access the internet, like P2P software?
  5. you will get the edit button after your post count reaches 50.... did you enter exceptions for MBAM on your Microsoft Security Essentials software? Try this first: Please exclude the following files from your antivirus: Note: If using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall you'll need to exclude them from it as well For Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys For 32 bit versions Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys For 64 bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys Please post back and let us know how it went.
  6. OK here is what I have do for collection of data for you guys.... followed these steps: 1. Open the registry editor (Start -> Run -> regedit) and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Right-click in the right-panel and choose New -> Dword value. Name the value disableipblocking, and set it equal to 1. Reboot. Does this make the memory leak go away? (You can delete the value after testing this.) 2. Remove all entries from the Ignore List in MBAM. Does this make the memory leak go away? Restarted and program mbamservice started with 2,456K after mbam appeared on the taskbar it jumped to 43,768 Right clicked on malwarebytes systray icon and there is no ip protection listed. I will post a log later of memory usage..... I am not going to force and update, I will just let it sit and see if it starts creeping up on its own. Let you know later....

  18. Just a thought, have you ran a program like CCleaner to delete any temp files first? This could help.
  19. Mistythe, please be advised that malwarebytes is not an antivirus program, it is an anti-malware program and you need to run both an antivirus program and also an anti-malware program as well.
