  1. Are you installing MBAM as corporate licenses or are you just buying 10 consumer licenses and installing them on your customers computers? If you are installing these in a business you have to buy corporate licenses.
  2. No you probably did not miss it, I posted it in the section of the forum you probably don't have access to, the Experts section....

  7. Let me start by saying that I am not an the staff for Malwarebytes nor am I employed by them. I am just a member here that volunteers some of my time trying to help others.... As everyone's computer and Internet access is different, and we have no control as to why data on your computer may have gotten corrupted (probably only the database file). It could be a hiccup on your Internet connection that corrupted the database file during the update download, a sudden power surge, bumping your computer while a file is being written to hard disk, there are way too many factors. By no means am I saying that your computer is damaged or needs repair, I am just saying that this occurred most likely because the database file got corrupted during the update. Yes you could have just deleted the rules.ref file and then launched malwarebytes, that may have fixed it as well. At the moment those are the instructions I had handy. I also have instructions for deleting the rules file if you like. Did the reinstall fix your issue?

  12. Hello and When you purchase one license, it is to be used on one computer only. The license is a lifetime license and can be transferred from one computer to another. If you need to protect two computers then you would have to buy two licenses. They do offer discounts for multiple copies, but as far as I know there is no student discounts.
  13. Hello and This is probably due to the fact that you are probably updating as a limited user on the computer. Log-in as an Administrator and then update, or you can right click on the Malwarebytes Icon and then choose run as Administrator, then update.
  14. Hello and I am not on the staff, but as far as I know, Malwarebytes does not mess with or will it deactivate your copy of windows. What were the infections found? More than likely it was caused by the malware found.... You can call the Microsoft Activation Hot Line to get your copy of windows re-activated @ 1-888-571-2048 (this is for US).

  20. If you want to make sure you are not infected the seek help from the experts so they can look over your logs.... Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process: As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. After posting your new post, make sure under options, you select Track this topic and choose Immediate Email Notification, so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please refrain from making any further changes to your computer (Install/Uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc...) unless advised by a malware removal helper. Doing so can result in system changes which may hinder the attempts by a helper to clean your machine. NOTE: Please DO NOT post back to (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours. Replying to your own posts changes the post count and helpers are looking for topics with zero replies. If you reply to your own post helpers may think that you're already being helped and thus overlook your post. If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply to the topic, asking for help again. Or You may send a Private Message to a Moderator asking for assistance. Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or here. Please be patient, someone will assist you as soon as it is possible.
