If I want to uninstall Malwarebytes, I will get this screen:
The yellow word is too much and makes the sentence look weird.

-
if you want to reproduce it:
- since the last install (i did a clean install last week with the old version), I did not have anything in my allow list.
(I did uninstall Malwarebytes some weeks ago.)
- I added 3 files to exclude from ransomware detections
- I added one File from Defender to exclude from all detections
- I added the Defender folder to exclude from all detections
- I removed something (one)
I tried the same today, nothing happend - but, this one time Malwarebytes crashed.
(maybe it only crashes, if you have never had anything in your allow list)

If you remove a item from the "allow list" ... Malwarebytes could crash, it might happen, it might not happen...
Here are the logs.

When going into Reports, delete everything. And going back to the Scan screen and clicking on "View Report". MB crashes.
In german, Malwarebytes crashes faster:
When going into Reports, delete everything => and Malwarebytes crashes.
It happend 2 out of 3 times (one time nothing happend at all).

please check the "check for updates" button in different languages ... there is a word missing in german/french ...

THX...
After the install, I had 2 Malwarebytes ghost icon´s in the taskbar, they went away, after I moved the mouse over those icons.
It may look confusing for someone.

To schedule a scan in german - it´s kind of tricky.
english:
german:
the buttons are working, but you got to find them first :-)
same in french, espanol, polski
Keep on the good work guy´s ... just to let you know.

let me add something...
I never had this problem so far.
But, I use Windows 10 and did uninstall the old version a few weeks ago, and now I got a clean install 5.0.8.60

After waking up the computer from sleep,
I click on the Malwarebytes icon,
and then, I click on "Scanner" (somewhere in the yellow)
and sometimes I get a empty window:
after a click on "Scan Planer" and back to "Scan",
the empty window is not empty anymore:
and you can see, that the last scan was a few hours ago.
It does not always happen...
But if it does, it´s just when you open Malwarebytes the first time.
(If you want to reproduce it: restart the computer or turn it off, use the computer and don´t touch Malwarebytes at all, let your pc go to sleep and then open Malwarebytes for the first time
- and maybe you have to do it, after a automated scan)

in english it´s working - "hide reports with no detections"
in german it´s not working: (try other languages, espaniol/french/polski... not working too ...)

Browser Guard is currently suggesting to install Malwarebytes Privacy VPN, because production users are currently on MB4. This will get fixed/fix itself at some point.
I understand.
Thank you and your team for the good work.

Browser Guard see´s Malwarebytes 5.x but not the VPN
(it´s the same with Opera and Edge).
VPN is ON, and Browser Guard does still tell you to install VPN.
(Malwarebytes 5.0.8.60)
Maybe this is just my VPN... still not more than 60 Mbits with 100 Mbits possible.

hi everyone,
your cloud database is very very old...
# -------------------------------
# Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 8.4.0.0
# -------------------------------
# Build: 08-30-2022
# Database: 2022-10-10.1 (Cloud)
# Support: https://www.malwarebytes.com/support
#
# -------------------------------
# Mode: Scan
# -------------------------------
# Start: 06-12-2023
# Duration: 00:00:04
# OS: Windows 10 (Build 19045.3031)
# Scanned: 32098
# Detected: 0???
Is the date from the cloud database not relevant at all and AdwareCleaner is still using the newest definitions?

I changed the router, and now I get 62 Mbps from 100 Mbps with VPN.

just now: I got 100 Mbps Connection and if I use Malwarebytes VPN (my computer is connected with LAN cable to the router)
Germany: 35-42 Mbps
France: 42 Mbps
Helsinki: 41 Mbps
Estonia: 39 Mbps
Greece: 37 Mbps
Luxembourg: 1 Mbps
Belgrade: 37 Mbps
Romania: 34 Mbps
Switzerland: 38 Mbps
London 39 Mbps
Kyiv: 40 Mbps
New York: 34 Mbps
If I use Norton VPN, I got 62 Mbps (long time ago I had 80-90 Mbps).
Maybe, the problem is my router.
Last year I used a very new router, but now - it´s doing the job, but it´s a old router - maybe too slow for vpn.
But, Norton gives me 62 ...

I just tried Frankfurt or Düsseldorf and every day and every time it was almost the same speed.

I could use Premium Plus, but the VPN Speed is too slow.
I have 100 Mbit without VPN and only 44 Mbit with it ... I don´t see a point, using it at this time. The VPN Speed was okay during the non-public beta. But now...

I use windows 10 and unistalled Malwarebytes 5.x a week ago and everything went well.

I have not Malwarebytes running in the background.
I have not Malwarebytes start with windows.
But, Malwarebytes is still installed.
I can open it, and everything works the way it should work.
Here is the problem:
If Malwarebytes does not start with windows, and is not running in the background,
and I choose to scan a folder with Malwarebytes, using the right mouse button
nothing happens.
I thought Malwarebytes would start and scan that folder.

Sometimes you can get rid of ghost icons by just moving your mouse pointer over them
Thank you for this info.
I think, this is what I did - after 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes everything went back to normal (and I did a restart after that, just to make sure everything is fine).
I don´t know, if this is a bug...
in Malwarebytes 5 for Windows
Posted
Sometimes (like a few minutes ago), my computer woke up from sleep,
I open Malwarebytes, go in the about tab and check for updates.
Malwarebytes find´s an update, downloads the update and right after the download is finished, it says (for a few seconds): "check for updates".
In other word´s, Malwarebytes does not see, that the user did allready check for updates and that a update was found and applied.
