    Logins blocked

I just created a Home Depot account using Chrome with Browser Guard enabled, then logged out of the HomeDepot website. I then went to Firefox, also using Browser Guard and logged into Home Depot with no problems. I am using Firefox 94.0.1 (64-bit) and Browser Guard 2.3.11. Browser Guard shows 15 blocks on 11 URLs while logged in to homedepot.com. None prevented login, and the site you mentioned is not on the list. I have a request out to the developer to determine if an older browser version may cause an issue. I have not received a response. Please attempt a login again, and check the Browser Guard interface to see how many blocks/domains appear, and if any are shown in red. You may also need to send a Browser Guard log which hopefully will provide more insight. It is available on the Support tab, and will require you to create a ZIP file from the JSONL file which will be created in your DOWNLOADS folder.
  4. If updating the database does not take care of the issue, please dump your browser cache.
  5. The site has been whitelisted. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  7. If you only went to Google and Youtube, it is a pretty safe bet that we blocked a Google tracker. Not only does Google provide content and search results for you, but they also include advertising in their search results as well as advertising, promotional material and trackers (a record of which sites you went to). We block those. Look at the example in the screenshot I attached. I clicked on the Browser Guard icon in the upper right corner of the browser window. The number "1" in the middle of it tells me that the website I am on had one Browser Guard block. The main Browser Guard interface shows which site was blocked. You would likely see that same site blocked if you went to a Google-owned site (or many others, for that matter).
  8. Infrastructure work was in progress, so many blocks took a while to get removed. cantab.net is now confirmed to be available.
  9. Behind the scenes work has been completed, and I just checked your sites. The block is no longer in effect.
  10. His answer came to you while I was sleeping, so that's understandable. We have a dividing line here where some Browser Guard blocks are handled by one team, and some by me. Its a bit messy sometimes. As far as your last comment, the block was likely on the top level domain, which would also affect subdomains. We sometimes block individual subdomains as well...there's never a single answer that fits all circumstances. Glad its working for you.
  11. The site is not blocked. Do you have a screenshot which shows some form of block?
  12. I have compared behavior of Browser Guard against other products, and all found the domain in question to be acceptable. I have whitelisted the tracker. Due to some work that is happening behind the scenes here, this change may be delayed. I have been told that work should be complete by late afternoon Saturday (US West Coast time)...that would equate to late Saturday evening or early Sunday morning in Europe. Please excuse that delay...it cannot be avoided (unless I got my change in at the very last minute). Please note that your four ecommerce domains were not the issue...it was the tracker that all of them were using.
  13. Anything about cookies, data privacy, GDPR would be the kind of thing that is in an alert. If the user's visit to your site (or perhaps information in his profile) triggers certain behaviors that result in extraneous alerts/notifications/warnings, that would be what to look for.

    False positive

If the website displayed one window of this type instead of two, there would likely not have been a block. I have whitelisted the site. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect.
  15. Site is accessible today without issue.
  16. This changed from a riskware block to a reputation block. I just whitelisted that. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect.
  17. Ah...OK! This is caused by "enthusiastic" use of alerts that your website is causing to be sent to the user. I have whitelisted it, but you may consider slowing down use of alerts and notifications.

The site has been whitelisted. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect. Sorry for the inconvenience. There is also a Browser Guard setting call gTLD domains which you can toggle to allow access to many non-standard domains.

  24. A single vendor has classified that site as containing malware (according to virustotal.com). Upon closer inspection, it is possible there may be some activity on beta.harcourt.co.za though I hit a dead end when trying to find out more. I have whitelisted login.harcourts.net. Please allow 15-30 minutes for changes to take effect.
  25. At this point, no. VirusTotal shows no current evidence. Too many hours have went by, and whatever Support did is not available to me here.
