  1. So true Mona! It's crazy how some people are so careful in "real life" but online lose their guard. Hopefully with articles like this and the increasing awareness of internet and online safety/security, people will become more aware with the potential dangers of doing certain things online and will be able to protect themselves better.
  2. Very good article Mona Thanks for posting! However imho, a lot of it (should be) common sense.
  3. I agree with Buttons, you should contact Iolo about this for sure. Is there an "undo" option at all though?
  4. Malwarebytes is quite amazing, and it has definitely saved a few computers that I have worked on for family and friends. I have the PRO version combined with a good AV & a hosts file on my computer, and I haven't gotten infected for quite some time...
  5. Excellent, I am glad that that worked for you! You are most welcome and feel free to post if you should have any further questions
  6. Hello schwartz22, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org Please read the following: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless it's been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help. If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you. Also, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page, as this makes the forum easier to read. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. Thank you
  7. I think you should uninstall it again, reboot, and then re-install it, taking care to install it under the administrator account. Using the administrator account, you can set a schedule for updates and scans if you wish. If you wish to update Malwarebytes on a standard/non-admin account after installing it on an admin account, right-click on the Malwarebytes icon and choose "run as administrator" and then you will be prompted to enter your password. You should be able to scan without entering your password, but if you find that you cannot, follow the directions above in order to run a scan
  8. Greetings Did you install Malwarebytes under the administrator account?
  9. Happy Birthday!!! I hope it is wonderful for you
