  1. @ KAKTUS Malwarebytes updates via (settings in) Internet Explorer (Anyone please correct me if I am wrong)! If Internet Explorer is set in "work offline" mode, that could be cause for it not updating. Please check to make sure that IE is not in offline mode.
  2. Hi TroyTrojansFan, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org, and thank you for your purchase Those messages mean that Malwarebytes is blocking access to sites that are hosting or lead to malicious content. Are any webpages other than this one open when you are getting these messages? Do you have any P2P programs installed, perchance? Examples: vuze, bittorrent, utorrent, etc... If so, these could be accounting for the popups. As a side note, please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page when replying. Thank you
  3. Welcome, Merijn! And Congratulations to you as well!!
  4. Ah, okay. That makes sense. Thanks for explaining that to me
  5. @ GT500 hehe I should have read your first reply a bit better. Does that mean that they'll also work on 64 bit though?
  6. Thanks for the clarification, AdvancedSetup
  7. @ GT500 Wait, so does the protection module fully work on 32 bit systems then? I'm confused.
  8. Yes it does Daniel Please see the information page for Malwarebytes here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

  10. Hello jrudi, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org And thank you for purchasing Malwarebytes! I recommend that you contact support@malwarebytes.org for faster assistance, Or post your issue here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7 And someone will be with you as soon as possible. It can take 48 hours or longer in the Malware removal, as it is quite busy in there currently, so please be patient. Also, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page, as this makes the forum easier to read. Thanks
  11. @ YoKenny1 I like this feature the best in the D-Link router: Hehe. Which is also something I am aiming for with a router.
  12. @ chubalz Yes, Hulu is streaming I hope you are using those DVD's just for yourself If you ever do get infected and need help in the Malware Removal Forum you will be asked to remove any torrent programs found, as per policy of receiving help there.
  13. @ chubalz Very true, well said. Nothing is 100% safe, but, a user can be as safe as possible. I recommend NOT using uTorrent or any torrent for that matter, or the Piratebay or anything similar. As long as you know the risks of using torrents and sites such as the pirate bay... Hulu is a great site to watch movies & tv shows SAFELY and for free: www.hulu.com/ And please read Swandog46's post here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=32783 Paying special attention to this:
  14. @ chubalz Well, hopefully its not infected Please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page. Thanks
  15. @ chubalz Or the movie could have potentially been infected. As for blocking IP's, that could leave yourself open to infection The choice is yours. Also, please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page when replying. Thanks.
  16. free or paid mbam? A nice HOSTS file would be good, and SpyBot for its Immunization feature would be good, as well as SpywareBlaster. I can give you links & directions for the latter two if you think he might be interested Both of those work passively to block things before they can come in; HOSTS block bad webpages to begin with, as well as advertisements.
  17. I 100% agree with and back up what Exile just posted to you above my post here. That being said, I think we must agree to disagree on this subject, and I'm sure we can agree on that You have a nice day as well, mynorgeek
  18. @ Firefox Thank you much, I appreciate that, and will keep it in mind
  19. Yes, I do remember My advice goes to others as well - commercial keyloggers basically have zilch chance of being used by malware and if they don't trust a machine, they shouldn't enter personal information into it. (Checking personal email at work/public computer, banking at work/public computer, etc..., just as an example).
  20. @ mynorgeek True, but if you take a peek around, most admins and many mods and others ask people to please not quote unless absolutely necessary Plus with longer posts sometimes it can be annoying to have all that quoteage. True, but, if you can't trust the computer that you are using, why enter personal information, passwords etc... into it to begin with? That way, no need to be leery of keyloggers
  21. @ Mynorgeek Sure. Because its unnecessary to quote everyone all the time and it makes the forum easier to read Oh, okay. That's understandable, about the keylogger concerns. However, there is pretty much zilch chance of a commercial keylogger actually being used by malware
  22. Just a few other thoughts for you, mynorgeek I don't think you should have commercial keyloggers anyway on your system, unless you bought it used, share it with someone else, or have let others use it before. And it certainly doesn't sound as though you'd ever install any yourself. Also, please use the "add reply" button at the bottom of the page when replying. Thanks
